Bob graduated from Christchurch School, VA, Selwyn Academy, Denton, Texas and attended North Texas University, Texas. P.J. was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bernice Clowers Light; one grandson, Adam Dale Light and five siblings, Loraine Crutchfield, Ada Ann Maddy and Irene Waldron, Maurice Light and Phyllis Neal. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, David Dale Light and wife Lita of Marie and Phillip Leon Light and wife Carolyn of Shady Spring; four grandchildren, Ryan James Light and fiancé Tamara Bragg of Pipestem, Seth Thomas Light of Shady Spring, Sara Christine Light of Fort Worth, TX and Samuel Jay Light and wife Bethany of Elkview and one great granddaughter, Jasmine Noelle Light. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Burial will follow in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery at Marie. Pallbearers will be Steve Light, Billy Brian Mitchell, Jason Persinger, Josh and Zach Maddy and Dennis Garrison III. Honorary Pallbearer will be his lifelong friend, Bill "Mitch" Mitchell. on January 26, 2017.4

He was born in Wolf Pen, West Virginia on October 31, 1926, to Bertle H. and Lelia Bell Folden Neel. Dale was married for 47 years to his late wife Phyllis Light and they were married in Tolcott, West Virginia. In 1951, they moved to Connersville where Dale went to work at Ford Electronics & Refrigeration which later became Visteon, retiring in 1988 after 35 years of service. Dale was a member of Connersville Baptist Temple and he enjoyed listening to Gospel and Country music. In his earlier years, he loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the National Rifle Association. After he turned 80, Dale enjoyed canoeing. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Mastin, of Connersville; a grandson, Scott D. (Tabatha V.) Eshelman, of Loveland, Colorado; a sister, Louise Keasling, of Connersville; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Phyllis Neel, Dale is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Wayman, Winters, Eugene “Pete”, and Charles Neel; three sisters, Marjorie Lawrence, Lucille Lanning, and Jewell Russell.      Adam Dale Light was born on December 21, 1984 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.1 He died on May 17, 2007 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 22.1 He FOREST HILL — Adam Dale Light, 21, of Forest Hill, died Thursday morning, May 17, 2007, in Beckley. Born Dec. 21, 1984, at Hinton, he was a son of David Dale and Lita Cheryl Neely Light of Forest Hill and brother of Ryan James Light of Beckley. He was a 2003 graduate of Summers County High School, an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman and a volunteer firefighter for the Forest Hill Volunteer Fire Department. Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Robin Marie Light; a son, Shawn Dale Light of Beckley; Jacob Miller, a child whom he reared as his own son, of Beckley; maternal grandparents, James Mason and Ellen Carol Tickle Neely of True; maternal great-grandmother, Dora Dale Neely of Pipestem; paternal grandparents, Phillip J. and Betty Bernice Clowers Light of Forest Hill; and two uncles, Phillip L. Light and wife, Carolyn, of Beaver and their children, Seth, Sara and Samuel Light, and James R. Neely and wife, Diana, of Aurora, Colo., and their children, Alexis, Elaina and Mason Neely. Memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 28, at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Jeff Canterbury and Phillip L. Light, uncle, officiating. Friends may call 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 28, at the funeral parlors. on May 19, 2007.1
