The daughter of the late Charles and Grace Richmond Swepston, she was born August 21, 1931 in Ballengee, WV. Grace Ann was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Bible Church. She enjoyed music and had a natural talent for playing numerous musical instruments for church functions. Notably, she played the marimba at this past Easter church service. Grace Ann had a passion for collecting thimbles from all across the world. She enjoyed playing Mexican train dominoes with friends and family. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dencil Bennett in 1967, a son, Kent Bennett, seven brothers and three sisters. She was the last living member of her immediate family. Grace Ann is survived by a daughter and husband, Rhonda and Eddie Allen, of Bruceton Mills, WV; a daughter and her husband, Carla and Ken Wills, of Madison, GA; grandchildren: Chris Allen and fiance Laura, Shaun Allen and wife Michelle, Amy Sullivan, Heather Bush, and Jason Bennett; two special young fellows; Anderson and Austin, great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Ethan, and Jovie; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 12 noon until the 3 pm service in the funeral home, with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1 pm at the Restwood Memorial Gardens, in Hinton, West Virginia. on May 17, 2017.4

She was born on September 13, 1926 in Hinton, WV, and was the daughter of the late Ernest Clark and Nellie Townsley Wickline. Helen was employed by G.C. Murphy Company in Hinton and Beckley for more than 20 years. She later served as a volunteer for the Foster Grandparents Program where she spent time reading with and helping elementary students with their school work. The love of her life were her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She greatly missed being able to continue work and drive her car due to health issues. She was an independent individual who exhibited a strong work and moral ethic. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Frank H. Swepston in 1978. Those left to cherish her memory include her only child, Clark H. Swepston and his wife Sue of Ghent, WV; granddaughters Emilee Payne and husband Michael of Charleston; Andrea Campbell and husband David of Princeton; international granddaughter Olga Semonva Allen and husband Mark stationed in Brussels, Belgium; great grandchildren Elisabeth, Molly, and James Payne; Grace, Sarah, Eli, and Erin Campbell, and Peter Allen; her sister, Betty Frazier of Crab Orchard. According to Mrs. Swepston's personal wishes, there will be no funeral services. The family will receive friends at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley from 11AM until 1 PM on Saturday November 26, 2016, with Graveside Rites and Burial to follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery at Forest Hill, WV at 2 PM. Family members will serve as pallbearers. on November 23, 2016.1

She was a member of the New Valley Fellowship in Narrows and had been a nurse for Princeton Community Hospital for 14 years. She is survived by her husband, Danny J. Chambers; two sons: Pastor D.J. Chambers and wife Jill of Rich Creek, Va., and James Chambers and wife Stephanie of Peterstown; two daughters: Tammie C. Baker and husband Paul of Pearisburg, Va., and Anna McCroskey and husband Jim of Rich Creek; one brother: John Sowers and wife Jane of Roanoke; two sisters: Martha Adkins and husband Ray of LaPlata, Md., and Deborah Lucas and husband Willie of Narrows; grandchildren: Jennifer, Beth, Desiree, Kaitlynn, Adam, Meredith and Bailey; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004 at the New Valley Fellowship Church in Narrows with Pastor D.J. Chambers and the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Karnes Cemetery at Peterstown. Friends may call from 6 until 9 p.m. today at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown and at the church one hour prior to services. Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown is in charge of arrangements. on October 31, 2004.1
