     David Wayne "Paw Paw" Barnhart was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.² He was born on April 27, 1943 at Virginia.^3,4 He married Carolyn Leigh Poff, daughter of Charles Isaac "Charlie" Poff Sr. and Juanita Jo Scott, on August 30, 1969 at Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 David Wayne "Paw Paw" Barnhart died on January 7, 2011 at Virginia at age 67.^2,4 He David W. (Paw Paw) Barnhart, 67, of Vinton, Va., passed away Friday, January 7, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert H. Barnhart and Lillie C. Barnhart; and his faithful companion dog, Raz. David was employed for 38 years at Richards Wilbert, Inc., was an avid bowler and fisherman, and a Virginia Tech and William Byrd fan. The joy of his life were his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn L. Barnhart; daughter, Kimberly Lynn Barnhart and her daughter, Madison Anela Morita; daughter, Kerri Barnhart King, her husband, David, and their daughters, Peyton Lillie King and Taylor Kayleigh King; sister, Elsie Neathawk and her daughter, Crystal Neathawk; the loving Poff family; his many special friends at work, the bowling alley, and his fishing buddies. A funeral service will be held noon Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the Vinton Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Booth officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, the Big Guy, Charlie Michael Doran IV; parents Charles I. Poff and Junaita Scott Poff; sisters Judith Poff Rock and Sandra Poff Craven. She is survived by her adored sons, Sean (Speedy) Patrick Doran and "CB" Charles Michael Doran V; beloved siblings; Pattie Bradshaw and husband Marty, Charles I. Poff Jr. and wife Pat, Carolyn Poff Barnhart, Cindy Poff, and Ann Marie Lynott; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathy was a loving and selfless wife and mother, gracious aunt, beloved cousin, exceptional daughter, and an unrivaled friend. Kathy always put the needs of her family above her own. For 38 years Kathy worked at Arnold & Porter, making lifelong friends including Julie Bell, Janet Rowland, Rene Rickman, Howard Cane, and many others. She grew up in Vinton, VA, in a home filled with love and siblings, and moved to D.C. in 1976. She graduated from William Byrd High School and Virginia Western Community College. Kathy was an avid reader, crime show enthusiast, and amateur political commentator. Her second home was the coast of North Carolina, where part of her heart still lives. Beyond the grave, Kathy is Charlie and Sean's inspiration, role model, and not a day will pass that she is not missed. A gathering will be held at National Funeral Home on Saturday, June 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. Burial arrangements are being handled by Arlington National Cemetery, where Kathy will be laid to rest with her loving husband. on June 28, 2018.⁴

Charles was born on November 6, 1947 in Washington, DC and grew up in Bethesda, MD. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Poff Doran (Kat or "Hunbunch"); his two sons, Charles Michael Doran ("CB") and Sean Patrick Doran (Speedie); his sister, Ann Marie Lynott; two nieces, Marita and Monica Lynott; and his Poff Family - five sisters-in-law (Patty, Sandra, Carolyn, Cindy and Pat, each of whom was his favorite); two brothers-in-law (Charles and Marty); 12 nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom loved him and his colorful ways with all their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Leo Doran and Agnes Rose Sullivan, and they are now welcoming him into heaven.Charles graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School where he excelled in sports, especially football. He attended Northwestern University and then enlisted in the U.S. Army Paratroopers during the Vietnam War. In addition to jumping out of planes, he had other "extreme" jobs, which included deep-sea diving off the Gulf Coast. Charles next worked for Melka Marine Construction, where he worked on the DC waterfront and continued diving. For 15 years he was employed at Super Concrete Corporation. He then moved to Dyna Corporation, from which he retired in 2006, when he fell ill. Mass will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA 22041 with a graveside service and inurnment to follow at 2 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery. on December 23, 2011.⁴

He was a die hard Redskins fan that enjoyed fishing and eating crabs. His greatest joy in life was his children and his grandchildren. He was a ten year veteran of the United States Navy. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lillian Howard Poff and James Roscoe Poff. Surviving are a daughter, Christina Poff, Corpus Christi, Texas; a stepson, Bruce Bazar, Corpus Christi, Texas; two grandchildren; a twin brother, Jack Dempsey Poff, Seymour, Texas; three brothers, James Henry Poff, Roanoke, Eddie Poff, Vinton, Ballard Poff, Vinton; two sisters, Lois Lawfield, Roanoke, Shannie McKee, Vinton; two close friends, Don Maxwell, Houston, Texas, and Russell McDevitt, Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, Virginia. Jack worked as a roofer in home construction. He competed in the Hotter ‘N Hell bicycle race in the late 1990s. He had lived in the Olney area approximately 7 years. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Tuney Poff. Survivors include three brothers, James Henry Poff of Roanoke, Virginia, Charles Edward Poff and Ballard Lewis Poff both of Vinton, Virginia; and two sisters, Lois Christine Graybill of Roanoke and Shannie Lillian McKee of Vinton.      James Henry Poff was born on January 14, 1943 at Richmond, Virginia.⁸ He married Lois Elizabeth Collins in February, 1962 at Key West, Monroe Co., Florida.^3,5,7 James Henry Poff died on December 21, 2014 at Virginia at age 71.³ He James Henry Poff, 71, of Roanoke, died peacefully Sunday, December 21, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. He spent the day surrounded by loved ones. A United States Navy Veteran, stationed in Florida, he cooked on the USS Penguin and traveled throughout Europe. He married Lois in '62 in Key West; upon returning to Roanoke, he worked as a machinist for NFS Railroad and restored antique cars, a hobby which won him several awards and everlasting friendships. James had a passion for life, a passion for the vehicles he brought back to life, and a passion for his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Poff; daughter, Dr. Lucinda Hodges (Roger); son, James Poff (Carrie); sisters, Lois Graybill and Shannie McKee; brothers, Eddie and Ballard Poff; and grandson, Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Lillian Poff; infant son, James Allan; and brothers, Jack and Gene. A Memorial will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Grandview Heights Church of the Nazarene.      Charles Edward "Eddie" Poff was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ He was born on December 8, 1946 at Bedford, Bedford Co., Virginia.⁵ He married Lois Marie Boitnott on July 1, 1967 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,4 Charles Edward "Eddie" Poff died on April 7, 2016 at Virginia at age 69.⁴ He Charles Edward (Eddie) Poff, 69, of Vinton, Va., passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Lillian Poff; brothers, James Henry Poff and twins, Jack and Gene Poff. Eddie was retired from Roanoke City School Board Maintenance Department as a HVAC Technician. He was a member of Vinton Baptist Church and his hobbies included playing golf and square dancing. Eddie was a member of the Botetourt Square Dance Club family.Survivors include his wife, Lois Boitnott Poff; son, James Edward (Buster) Poff; and daughter-in-law, Regina Poff. He was a proud G-Daddy to grandsons, Eric Braxton, Brandon Scott and Ryan Alexander Poff. Also surviving is his brother, Ballard Poff (Trudy); sisters, Lois Graybill (Ralph) and Shannie McKee; sisters-in-law, Lois C. Poff, Betty B. Cowan (Clayton) and Shirley D. Billy was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy with twenty-three years of service. Prior to his illness, he was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Laura H. Lawfield. Surviving are his devoted wife, Dana K. Lawfield and her children, Michael K. Murphy and his special friend, Courtney Renz and Rhiannon L. Murphy and Rachel Murphy; also Billy's children, William J. Lawfield and special friend, Tammy Wheeler, Taresa Nunn and husband, Dan, and Monica Lawfield and partner, Ann Holbrook, and their mother, Lois Graybill; and two sisters, Patricia VanHorn and Lorretta Dyer and their spouses. Mr. Lawfield will be greatly missed by his in-laws, Glenn and Gay Keith, his six grandchildren and all additional family members not mentioned.
