     Karl Wayne Thomas Sr. was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on January 28, 1928 at Fincastle, Botetourt Co., Virginia.^2,3,6 He married Barbara Jean Yeatts, daughter of Cortez Ovell "C. O." Yeatts and Pearlie Mae Carter, on October 15, 1949 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,7,2,4 Karl Wayne Thomas Sr. died on March 28, 2012 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 84.^6,4,5 He K. Wayne Thomas Sr., 84, of Blue Ridge, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Nathaniel H. and Wanda R. Thomas; his grandmother, Mollie Thomas; his in-laws, Cortez Ovell and Pearlie Mae Yeatts; two brothers, Melvin and Floyd Thomas; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Anne Yeatts. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Yeatts Thomas; and four children, K. W. Thomas, Jr. and Cindi Thomas, Jon Y. Thomas, Susan Thomas, and Peter N. and Noelle Thomas; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; one brother, Harold R. and Shirley Thomas; nephew, Michael and Patricia Thomas; niece, Ann Thomas; and a special cousin, Nellie T. Holland. He was a member of Bonsack UMC, and a former member of Fincastle UMC and Universal City UMC. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served for 10 years, and retired from the Civil Service after 24 years. A Funeral Service will be held at noon on Monday, April 2, 2012, at Oakey's East Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. on April 1, 2012.⁴

     Stephen Wayne Kendrick Sr. was born on October 21, 1947 at Martinsville, Virginia.^3,4,5 He married Kathy Lynn Eanes, daughter of James Herbert Eanes and Lucinda "Cindy" Sweeney, on June 14, 1969 at Ridgeway, Henry Co., Virginia.⁴ Stephen Wayne Kendrick Sr. and Kathy Lynn Eanes were divorced on May 4, 1993 at Henry Co., Virginia.⁵ Stephen Wayne Kendrick Sr. died on June 30, 2022 at Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 74.² He On The Afternoon of June 30, 2022, Stephen Kendrick of Huddleston, Virginia, died at the age of 74. Steve (Also known as Kendy Sr, DAD, and Pop Pop) was a graduate of Drewry Mason High School (1996), A Graduate of Virginia Tech (1970), and a Certified Public Accountant. He loved mowing and playing golf at Mariner's Landing, going to Virginia Tech Football Games, working in His yard, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, brother, and friend. Steve is survived by Georgianna Kendrick, his wife of 26 years; sister, Janet Burnette; sister, Lisa Marshall; sister, Pat Gaddis; son, Stephen Kendrick II; daughter, Courtney Swink; Georgie's son, David Gibson; five grandchildren, Olivia, Will, Mia, Pearle, and Jack; Danny Turner, his best friend of 60+ years, and many other family and friends.      Tammy Serene Sowers Tammy Serene Sowers, 36, of Willis, passed away Wednesday June 25, 2014. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Ruby Dickerson and Aunt Audrey Akers. She is survived by her husband Timothy Reed; children, Christopher Sean Reed, Brandi Eva Mae Reed, Eric Nathanael Reed, Amy Madison Reed; Grandson, Aden Lee Yopp; Father, Tony Sowers; Mother, Debbie Harvey. Graveside service at Willis Cemetery.² Her married name was Lilly.⁵ She was buried at Willis Cemetery, atop a hill on south side of Rt. 772, Floyd Co., Virginia.^2,7 She married Timothy Reed.² Tammy Serene Sowers married Elby Franklin Lilly Jr.⁵ Tammy Serene Sowers was born on July 5, 1977 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^3,7 As of December 2, 1996,her married name was Wilson.⁶ She married Gregory Dean Wilson on December 2, 1996 at Floyd Co., Virginia.⁶ Tammy Serene Sowers and Gregory Dean Wilson were divorced on June 13, 1997 at Radford, Virginia.⁵ Tammy Serene Sowers and Elby Franklin Lilly Jr. were divorced on April 4, 2001 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁵ Tammy Serene Sowers died on June 25, 2014 at Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 36.^2,4,7
