     Curtis Ray Thompson Curtis Ray Thompson, 69, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1956, the son of the late Roosevelt Emmett Thompson and Velma Pauline Conner Thompson. In addition to his parents, Curtis is also preceded in death by his beloved dogs, CT, Sissy, Jasmine, and Senecea. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Raye Morris (Greg); and his cherished grandchildren, Kamrhen Wayne Thompson, Eithen Daniel Morris, and Step-Son Alan Lloyd (Shelly). He is also survived by his siblings, David Thompson (Linda), Donna Smith (Rusty), Johnny Thompson (Linda), and Angela Russell (Herman), along with many loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him deeply.⁵ He was born on February 28, 1956 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3,4,5 He married Judith Dianne Sisson on August 10, 1979 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Curtis Ray Thompson and Judith Dianne Sisson were divorced on October 29, 1985 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ Curtis Ray Thompson married Elizabeth Ellen Gillock on October 10, 1986 at Stewartsville, Bedford Co., Virginia.² Curtis Ray Thompson and Elizabeth Ellen Gillock were divorced on November 30, 2007 at Bedford Co., Virginia.⁴ Curtis Ray Thompson died on April 15, 2025 at Virginia at age 69.⁵

     Elizabeth Ellen Gillock Elizabeth Ellen Thompson, lovingly known as "Piney" to her family, left this world to go be with Jesus and her precious Gramps on January 10, 2024, following a long-term illness. Born in Christiansburg, Va., on September 16, 1950, she is preceded in death by her mother, Jane Wheeland Gillock and two sons, David and Michael. Elizabeth had many things in life that gave her joy, namely, her children, grandchildren, and her dog, "Baby Girl," who passed several years ago. She also loved all of her faithful clients, Harley Davidson motorcycles, flea markets, beautiful clothes and high heels -- she always looked beautiful. She was a huge Willie Nelson fan, and her favorite places were the country, barns, and our beloved cabin, Kandota. Elizabeth had a big heart and would help anyone who needed it. Those Elizabeth leaves behind to mourn are her son, Alan (Shelly); four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; father, Richard E. Gillock; two sisters, Barbara Spencer Maier and Carol Dean (Jim); cousins, Caroline Calkins and John Blair; as well as two dear friends, Don and Cathy.⁴ She was born on September 16, 1950 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2,4 As of October 10, 1986,her married name was Thompson.¹ She married Curtis Ray Thompson, son of Roosevelt Emmett "Pops" Thompson and Velma Pauline "Polly" Conner, on October 10, 1986 at Stewartsville, Bedford Co., Virginia.¹ Elizabeth Ellen Gillock and Curtis Ray Thompson were divorced on November 30, 2007 at Bedford Co., Virginia.³ Elizabeth Ellen Gillock died on January 10, 2024 at Virginia at age 73.⁴

     Albert Alvin Blomberg was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N. W., Roanoke, Virginia.^2,4 His Social Security Number was 033-20-0904.⁵ He was born on December 12, 1929 at Medford, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.^{5,2,6,4,7,8,9} He married Phyllis Jean Hubble, daughter of Samuel Henry "Sam" Hubble and Maudie Adeline Gearheart, on August 29, 1987 at Roanoke, Virginia.^10,6 Albert Alvin Blomberg died on September 11, 1999 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 69.^5,2,3,4,9 He BLOMBERG, Albert A., 69, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, September 11, 1999. Mr. B. was born in Arlington, Mass. The former Boy Scout Leader served his country in the U.S. Air Force before and during the Korean Conflict. After the war, Mr. Blomberg became an Aircraft Mechanics Instructor in New England. Moving to Roanoke in 1967, Mr. Blomberg became the head of the Automotive Technologies Department at Virginia Western Community College. He received his Masters Degree from Virginia Tech. Mr. Blomberg was a past Deacon at Salem Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis; his two sons and their spouses, Al and his wife Becky, Chris and his wife Ann; a stepdaughter, Tracy Dieber and her husband George, of Forest; and six grandchildren. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors by V.F.W. Post 1264. on September 13, 1999.²

     Frank Marvin Conner was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,3 His Social Security Number was 719-07-8915.⁹ He was born on September 24, 1914 at Roanoke, Virginia.^9,10,3,4 He married Mary Frances Fisher on October 7, 1933 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., Virginia.¹⁰ Frank Marvin Conner died on September 2, 2000 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 85.^1,9,3,5 He CONNER, Frank Marvin, 85, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2000. Mr. Conner was the son of the late Walter and Mary Conner. He retired from GE in the late 1970's. Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Conner; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Porch of Manassas; two grandchildren, Lisa Roberts and her husband, Charles of Saganaw, Texas, and Gregory and his wife, Carla Waters of Tuscon, Ariz; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Waters; and two nephews, Jack Old and Melvin Conner, both of Roanoke. Graveside services will be conducted at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. on September 5, 2000.¹

     Mary Frances Fisher was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^3,4 Her Social Security Number was 225-32-0394.⁵ She was born on July 2, 1915 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,5,4,2 As of October 7, 1933,her married name was Conner.¹ She married Frank Marvin Conner, son of Walter Cassell Conner and Mary Arletha Jane Richards, on October 7, 1933 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., Virginia.¹ Mary Frances Fisher died on July 31, 2004 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 89.^3,5,4,6 She Mary Frances Conner, 89, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Marvin Conner and is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Bob Porch of Manassas; two grandchildren, Gregory Waters and his wife, Carla of Tuscon, AZ, Lisa Roberts and her husband, Charles of Saginaw, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Waters. A graveside service will be held in Mountain View Cemetery. on August 4, 2004.³

Mangold, Jr., M.D., Tucson, Ariz; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold G. and Betty Linkous, Christiansburg, Lloyd A. and Doris Linkous, Wytheville. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. on October 5, 1998.¹
