He was the son of the late Charles M. and Agnes Nolley Iddings of Floyd County. Mr. Iddings was a former employee of the American Viscose Corp., with 33 years of service and the Roanoke Sheriff's Dept. with 11 years of service. He was the widower of Beatrice Mills Iddings. Surviving are two sons, William F. Iddings, Vinton; Charles T. Iddings, Metarie, La; a daughter Mrs. William R. (Jackie) Sheaff, Vinton; grandchildren, R. C., Victor, Stephanie, and Thomas Iddings; Robert W. Sheaff, Jr; great grand children, Amie, Jennifer and Matthew Sheaff; a sister Mrs. Millard (Mobie) Epperly, Pilot; and devoted friends, Jim and Doshie King, Roanoke. Funeral services were conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel Saturday, Feb 28, with Rev. George Wesley Jones officiating. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. (Vinton, Va) on March 5, 1987.¹

He was born on August 28, 1946, to Roy and Peggy (Musser) Woods. Danny was a Master Craftsman of flooring installation, learning this trade from his father. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy C. Woods, and is survived by his precious mother, Peggy Musser Woods, with whom he lived and cared for daily for the last 10 years. Also surviving is his son, Christopher (Lori) Woods; a brother, Roger Woods; a sister, Rhonda Woods; his aunt, Judy (Bobby) Martin; and special cousins, Kaye and Tara Garland. Services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Maurice Wright officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Ave. on January 9, 2018.²

     Millard George Epperly was buried at Huffville Union Church Cemetery, Terrys Fork, Floyd Co., Virginia.⁵ He was born on January 17, 1890 at Huffville, Floyd Co., Virginia; On his WWI Draft Registration card he lists his birth date as Jan 17, 1891 however he was enmuerated as being five months old in the 1890 Census.^4,8,5 He married Millie Mobie "Molly" Iddings, daughter of Charles M. LZ Epperly died on September 16, 2019 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 101.⁸ She LZ Epperly Wimmer, of Salem, Va., passed away at the age of 101, Monday, September 16, 2019. She was born March 21, 1918 in Huffville, Va., the daughter of Millard and Mobie Epperly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harless Wimmer; daughters, Claudie Mobie and Amy Wimmer, Nadine Vogel, Jeanette Burnside; sons-in-law, Wayne Austin, Walter Vogel, Rev. Joe Burnside; sisters, Kate King, Georgia Cox; brother, Daniel (Bud) Epperly. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie and Buddy Poff, Linda and Shelly Rosenbloom; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Wimmer; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Jane McKee; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. LZ was a life-long member of the Methodist Church, first at Huffville UMC and then Calvary UMC, Salem, Va. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hermitage-Roanoke for the excellent care while she was a resident there. Also, thank you to her very caring neighbor, Bob Lancaster. Funeral services will be held at Noon Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Lotz Funeral Home, Salem, Va., with the Rev. Tim Gearhart and the Rev. Joe Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow at Huffville UMC Cemetery. There will be no formal graveside service but everyone is welcome to attend. on September 17, 2019.⁸

Kate Frances Epperly died on April 13, 2010 at Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 89.^5,13,11 She Kate Frances Epperly King, 89, of Floyd, Va., passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace King; two sons, Lane Wimmer and Earl King; and one daughter, Mary King Peters. She was a faithful member of Stonewall Methodist-Brethren Church. Surviving are three sons, Sidna Wimmer and wife, Margaret, of Olympia, Wash., Richard Wimmer and wife, Linda, of Floyd, Va., and John King and wife, Sandy, of Marietta, Ga; three daughters, Sarah Quesenberry and husband, Donnie, of Willis, Va., Audrey Brown and husband, George, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Gwinn Angle and husband, Sam, of Radford, Va; three sisters, L Z Wimmer, of Salem, Va., Jane McKee, of Tampa, Fla., and Georgia Cox, of Christiansburg, Va; one brother, Daniel Epperly and wife, Sylvia, of Pilot, Va; two daughters-in-law, Mary Clark and husband, Reginald, of Copper Hill, Va., and Frances McCoy and husband, John, of McCoy, Va; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Stonewall Methodist-Brethren Church with the Reverend Darren Landon officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Cemetery.
