     Her married name was Maxey.1 Paulette Jean McBride married Wayne Winston Maxey, son of James Walter "Jinks" Maxey and Frances Wade Dunn.1 Paulette Jean McBride was born on March 28, 1953 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.1 She died on March 6, 2015 at Sumter, Sumter Co., South Carolina, at age 61.1 She Paulette Jean Kropp, 61, beloved wife of Russell Elton Kropp, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born March 28, 1953, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of John Benjamin McBride and the late Jean Irene Gilbert McBride. She enjoyed baking, making cakes for grandchildren, playing bingo and most importantly spending time with her family. She adored being a mother and grandmother. She was very friendly, energetic to everyone she knew and a mother to all. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She leaves behind her loving husband, Russ Kropp, of the home; her father, John Benjamin McBride of Philadelphia; five children, William Woods and his wife, Cashell Woods, Kimberly Moore and her husband, Brian, both of Philadelphia, Michele Maxey, Suzanne Maxey, and Andrew Maxey, all of Sumter; four stepchildren, Scotty Maxey and his wife, Lindsay, of Darlington; Colin Kropp and his wife Lisa of California; Karen Steen and her husband Mike of Minnesota; and Lee Kropp of Bishopville; five brothers, John McBride, David McBride, Harry McBride, Robert McBride and Steven McBride; two sisters, Shirley Frank and Susan Devlin; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean McBride, and a sister, Judy Komeleski. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be C.O. Clark, Phil Thompson, Steve Turk, Patrick Varner, Tim Varner and Rob Yellowhorse. on March 8, 2015.1

     Randy Leon Nixon Beloved Randy Leon “Nik” Nixon, age 45 departed this world on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Lewis Gale-Pulaski Hospital. Born January 25, 1966 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Samuel Emmett and Colena May Haynes Nixon. His sister, Carolyn Nixon and two brothers, Samuel Franklin Nixon and Delbert Elgene Nixon also preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann and his step-children, Angel, Eric and Jimmy. His sisters- Brenda Wood - who held his hand through his final hours and Nancy Hawley both of Pulaski. Brothers- Allen, Emmett, Mark and Sammy Nixon-Pulaski. Many nieces and nephews. Randy will be missed more than words can say and nothing can take this heartache away but he suffers no more and begins now a new and happier journey. Born September 28, 1970 in Rocky Mount, VA, she was the daughter of Wanda Maxey Lang and Jimmy Ray Lang, Sr. Melinda was a former employee of the Holiday Inn Express. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Brandon Bivens; four sisters, Millissie White, Teresa Zuniga, Amanda Williams, and Arlene Bortzer; a brother, Jimmy "Bo" Lang, Jr., and her papa, Walter Lang.2 She was born on September 28, 1970 at Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.2,3 She died on October 8, 2021 at Evington, Campbell Co., Virginia, at age 51.2
