Thomas Franklin "Tommy" Houck Jr. Thomas Franklin “Tommy” Houck, Jr., 60, of Chesapeake Beach, MD passed away, as a result of a motorcycle accident, June 23, 2016 at Prince Georges Hospital Center. He was born November 5, 1955 in Washington, DC to Thomas Franklin and Lorena Elizabeth (Rhodes) Houck. Tommy lived most of his early years in Morningside, MD located just outside of Andrews Air Force base where he met his childhood friend, Bob Mattern at 13 years old at the local Baptist Church. Tommy’s mom, Lorena, was the Sunday School teacher there and Bob & Tommy immediately formed that brotherly bond that has lasted over 48 years. They graduated together from Crossland High School, Class of 1973. Tommy’s career has spanned over many paths including working at Andrews Air Force Base Food Services, Multi-Arts Trade Show and Convention Display in Lorton VA, Journeyman Steamfitter, Home Improvement for Rock Remodeling and Outdoor living owned by his son, Clint. Tommy’s last position was as Project Manager & Draftsman for EMCO Elevator of Capitol Heights, MD. He also was in the entertainment business as a Karaoke / DJ performing all around the Mid-Atlantic area for friends, family and co-workers. He was a skilled artisan in woodworking, artwork, electrical, plumbing and any other projects too many to mention. One of his early works included designing and drawing the High School Mascot, the Crossland Cavalier to his latest which is the Harley Davidson Memorial Flagpole and“Pig” located in Hughesville MD. Tommy’s passion besides his loving family was riding his Harley Davidson with the Hughesville Hog Chapter. He coordinated bike rides for pleasure but also for charities such as the “Wounded Warrior Program” and “Some Gave All” and many others. He loved giving back to his friends, family and community in all ways whether it was helping a friend in need with moving, handyman work, DJ services, etc. His sense of humor was spontaneous and on the mark for any occasion. His political humor always had a current and poignant spark. Tommy was a great man who will be remembered for his loving, caring and generous heart to all who knew him. We will carry him in our heart forever. He was preceded in death by his mother Lorena E. Houck. Surviving are his wife Dora Houck of Chesapeake Beach, MD; father Thomas F. Houck, Sr. of Union WV; children Clint Houck and his wife Alicia of Lusby, MD Jessica Houck of Mechanicsville, MD, Jamie Church and his wife Heather of Waynesboro, VA, and Belinda Church of Prince Frederick, MD; grandchildren Lincoln, Colton and Giuliana Lorena Houck, Makai Cosgrove, Emma Hanson, Brittnie Church, Kai and Kayden Young, Cayleh, Chelsea, and Chance Church; sister Dawn Reicherter and her husband Jim of Jacksonville, FL and brother Aubrey Houck of Union, WV.2 He married Dora Unknown.2,3 Thomas Franklin "Tommy" Houck Jr. was born on November 5, 1955 at Washington, D.C..2 He died on June 23, 2016 at Prince George's Co., Maryland, at age 60.2

Dawn Elizabeth Houck Dawn Elizabeth Reicherter, 62, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on May 28, 2021. Born August 26, 1958, in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lorena Houck of Sarton, WV. Dawn met her husband Jim of 28 years at a bowling alley and were married on September 5, 1992. They enjoyed fishing and camping together and had several adventures on those trips. Dawn had a mind for numbers and most recently she was employed at Exit Realty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lorena Houck of Sarton and one brother, Tommy of Chesapeake Beach, MD. Survivors include her husband Jim of Jacksonville, Fl, two step children Tony Reicherter of Santa Barbara, CA and Misty Gibbs and children Ava and Molly of Austin, TX, and one brother, Aubrey Houck of Sarton, WV. Also surviving to remember her are her much loved nieces and nephews: Clint and wife Alicia of Lusby, MD; Jessica and husband Cory of Mechanicsville, MD; Frank, Jr and wife Heidi of Sarton; Nicole and fiancé, Justin, of Sarton; Shaun and wife Ytzury of El Paso, TX. Great-nieces and nephews include Makai and Emma of Mechanicsville, MD; Lincoln, Colton, Giuliana, and Aurora, of Lusby, MD; Gabriella, Max, Jack, Kellyanne, Carly, Chance, and Hudson of Sarton, WV.5 She was born on August 26, 1958 at Washington, D.C..5 As of September 5, 1992,her married name was Reicherter.5 She married James Anthony "Jim" Reicherter on September 5, 1992 at Tillamook Co., Oregon.2,3,5,4 Dawn Elizabeth Houck died on May 28, 2021 at Jacksonville, Duval Co., Florida, at age 62.5

Jack Lovell Croye Jr. Jack Lovell Croye Jr. died Peacefully in Mesa, Az on June 16th at the age of 86. Jack was born on Nov 25, 1935 in Sophia WV to Jack Lovell Croye Sr. and Donna Mae Furrow Croye. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Engineering. He married Marcia Bell Christy in 1959, divorced in 1979, and he married Judy Schweitzer in 1989. He retired from Motorola as Manager of Test Operations for the digital division after 36 years. Jack was very active in his church, Redeemer Bible Church of Gilbert, and spent many hours caring for the baptismal and assisting with building projects at every opportunity. Jack also helped build structures at both sons homes, his grandson's home, and as recently as last year assisted in the building of his granddaughter's home. Jack is survived by his sons Mike and James, daughter in law Susan, grandson Josh Croye (Stacie), granddaughter Bri Tournas (Bryan), great granddaughters, one from each child; Gabrielle Croye and Mabel Tournas, nephew David Mosely and great nieces and nephews.
