"Rick" Stewart of Oak Hill, the loving mother of Andrea Nicole "Nicky" Black and David DeWayne Black II of Daniels and stepmother of Richard "Ricky" Stewart of DeKalb, Ill. She was the daughter of Buck Lowe and Tina Lowe of Kopperston, Ramona Reed of Lucasville, Ohio, and the late Darrell Johnson. She was the granddaughter of Arrettia Weaver of New Richmond and the daughter-in-law of Betty Stewart of Oak Hill. Teresa was the cherished sister of Brenda Ferguson of Bolt, Sandy Turner of Fredericksburg, Va., Margaret Lowe Kincaid of Sterling, Va., Allison Lowe Hill of Manassas, Va., Dennis Johnson of Colorado, Sherry Rider of Beaver, Ohio, Michael Johnson of Piketon, Ohio, Debbie Strawser of South Point, Ohio, Jim Bob Johnson of Waverly, Ohio, David Lamp of Piketon and Deana DeBord of Lucasville, Ohio. She will be greatly loved and missed by her friends and her family.      David Allen Beavers David Allen Beavers, Nov 14, 1942 – Jun 8, 2017. David Allen “DA” Beavers, 74, of Locust Grove, VA went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2017, after suffering from an incurable illness. DA was born in Alexandria, VA, to the late James and Florence Linton Beavers. He grew up in the Mt. Vernon area and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1963. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the U.S. Army Support Command, Saigon, Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the Army on May 2, 1968, and returned home to work for the Department of Army, Cameron Station Commissary. He later transferred to Fort Belvoir VA, where he worked in the Motor Pool prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Richard Beavers. He is survived by his wife, Janice Marlene Beavers, and a sister, Sallyanne Beavers DeShong. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends on special occasions and he and his wife hosted Thanksgiving Day dinners. He loved the outdoors, hunting, raising animals, and gardening. His favorite TV shows were westerns and he loved country and western music. In his retirement years he spent time caring for his cows in Locust Grove. He had a special bond with his cows and could call them by name when he wanted to feed them by hand. He was a loving and caring man who will be missed by all.3 He was buried at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Wills and a brother Jeremy Piercy. Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his mother, Shirley Piercy of Coal City. Two children: Dustin Hawkins of Beckley and Tyler Piercy of Pineville. Two brothers: Chris Piercy of Coal City, and Steve Coleman and wife Ella Rose of Lester; Four sisters, Karen Campbell of North Sandbranch, Carla Lilly of Lester, Angela Hudson of Beckley, and Leah Piercy of Coal City; several grandchildren. He was a member of Coal City Community Church and loved motorcycles and making knives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Piercy and Jeremy Piercy; two sisters, Kathy Wills and Angela Piercy.
