She was born in Monroe County, W.Va. on January 1, 1914, and was the daughter of the late John and Nannie Strather McClanahan Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Drawbond; two brothers, Arlen Crawford and Ernest Crawford; and four sisters, Fannie Hylton, Ella Hylton, Allene Richardson, and Dorothy Tolbert. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Herndon, Va., since 1981, when she moved from Narrows, Va. to Herndon, Va. She was a member of the Barbara Deal Circle and also volunteered as Director of Exercise at Lake Ann Fellowship House and "Millie's Mending" at Tall Oaks Fellowship House. She was an active member of the community and was a devoted mother and grandmother. We all knew and loved her as "Granny."
