Billie was a flag car diver for Mary's Flag Car Service and was a waitress in various restaurants. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Compton; and one brother, Ray Thornton. She is survived by one son, Russell Lamar "Rusty" Sox and wife Diana of Brilliant, OH; three grandchildren, Jared Sox, Samantha Sox, and Brittany Sparringer; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Rose Sox and Brooke Sox; one brother, Jimmy Mitchell of Orlando, FL; and two sisters, Penny Dobbins and husband John of Manassas, VA, and Carolyn Butler and husband John of Radford, VA. "Woody" Compton, Keith Thomas Compton and wife, Alice, all of Princeton, and Timothy W. "Timmy" Compton and wife, Penny of Florence, S.C; three grandchildren, Christopher W. Compton, Arron E. Compton, and Kevin T. Compton; and his mother-in-law, Thelma G. Mitchell of Princeton.
