     Doris Dean Brizendine was buried at Franklin Memorial Park, Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.² Her Social Security Number was 224-32-3488.⁴ She was born on January 1, 1924 at Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,4,3 As of November 20, 1941,her married name was Lucas.¹ She married Warren Pershing Lucas, son of Charlie Matthew Lucas and Flora Minnie Wimmer, on November 20, 1941 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,5 Doris Dean Brizendine died on January 23, 2009 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 85.^2,4,6 She Doris Dean Brizendine Ricker, 85, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, January 23, 2009, and will be singing with the angels. She is preceded in death by her sister, Isabelle Eyler. Mrs. Ricker was a longtime member of Red Hill Church of the Brethren and retired from the VA Medical Center with over 20 years of service. She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her children. She is survived by her son, Robert Ricker, of Roanoke; daughters, Diane Parker and husband, Jim, of Roanoke, Loretta Miller, of McDonough, Ga., Pennye Epperly and husband, Jeff, of Roanoke, and Lisa Mongan and husband, Quinn, of Salem; grandchildren, Ted, Kyle, and Kevin Campbell, April Darley, Chad Ricker, Michelle Behrns, and Quinn and Kayla Mongan; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Overfelt and husband, Garland. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. on January 25, 2009.²

Obenshain, Jr. (Bill), passed away April 25, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. Obenshain, Sr. and Lucy Spangler Obenshain; a son, Neil A. Obenshain; brothers, Earl, Carl and Marvin Obenshain. He was a member of Belmont Christian Church and former member of North Roanoke Baptist Church. He served in the European Theater in World War II and was a recipient of the purple heart. He was a member of American Legion Post # 3 and DAV Post # 3. He was a past member of Roanoke Valley Cotillion Club and Optimist Club of Roanoke Valley. He was a retired supervisor of General Electric Corporation with 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Mozelle Tuck Obenshain; daughter, Brenda O. Himes and husband, Billy; granddaughters, Shannon and Dawn Himes; daughter-in-law, Sue Obenshain Goodpasture and husband, Barry; stepson, Bill R. Tuck and wife, Jean; step-granddaughters, Karen Radford and husband, Ronnie, Sharon Thornton and husband, James; great-stepgrandchildren Amanda Radford and Taylor Thornton; brother, Dewey Ronald Obenshain, Greensboro N.C; and sisters, Marie O. White and husband, Rudy, Norma O. Swain and husband, Elmer of Roanoke. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery with military honors. on April 28, 2006.⁷
