Gilmore, daughter of Benjamin Harvey "Ben" Gilmore and Minnie Pearl Hall, circa 1927.^1,5,6,4 Thomas Ward Viers died on December 30, 1961 at Radford, Virginia, at age 53.^1,4 He Thomas W. Viers, 53, of Radford, died Saturday morning. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Gilmore Viers; two sons, James W. Viers and Rudolph Viers, all of Raclford; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Geralds, Vicker. Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Gerald Farmer, Clarence Farmer, Bittle Miller, Charlie Gilmore, Irving Wade, Maurice Gilmore. on January 1, 1962.⁴

     Rudolph Lee Viers Rudolph “Jack” Lee Viers, 90, of Radford, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the Radford Army Ammunitions Plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Frances Viers. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Kathleen M. Viers; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Cindy Viers, and Timothy and Regina Viers, all of Dublin; grandchildren, Andrew, Heth and Sarah; great grandchildren, Olivia, Claire, Owen, Nora and Josiah; and many other relatives and friends. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.² He was buried at Highland Memory Gardens, 5555 Lee Highway, Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.² He was born on November 9, 1929 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,3 He married Emma Kathleen Mills on February 24, 1955 at Radford, Virginia.¹ Rudolph Lee Viers died on December 20, 2019 at Virginia at age 90.²

     James William Viers was buried at Highland Memory Gardens, 5555 Lee Highway, Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.^4,6 He married Mamie Edith Boyd.⁵ James William Viers was born on September 24, 1927 at Virginia.^1,6 He died on December 3, 1994 at Virginia at age 67.^4,6 He James William (Bill) Viers, 67, of Radford, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 1994 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was a World War II Veteran and a retired employee of Hercules Inc. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Viers; a son, Jimmy Viers and a granddaughter, Leslie Sniegon. Surviving are his wife, Edith B. Viers, Radford; a daughter, Sherry V. Porter of Riner; his mother, Frances G. Viers of Fairlawn and a brother, Rudolph L. (Jack) Viers of Fairlawn. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. on December 4, 1994.⁴

Born on August 10, 1928, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Viers (Bill); her son, James Alan Viers (Jimmy); mother and father, Matthew Lee and Eulalia Bernett Boyd; granddaughter, Leslie Boyd Sniegon; brothers, Harless, Clarence, and Leonard Boyd; and sisters, Gladys Smith, Ruby Huff, Beatrice Atkinson, and Lena Simpson. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sherry Diane Viers Collins; sister and brother-inlaw, Hazel and Brown Bratton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Radford Wesleyan Church and employed by Burlington Miles. She also enjoyed quilting at Radford Recreation Center and traveling. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. on January 29, 2010.¹

     Joseph Edward Sniegon was buried at Sunny Slope Cemetery, West Point, King William Co., Virginia.² He Joseph Edward Sniegon, 76, of Aylett, VA passed away on November 4, 2022. He graduated from West Point High School and attended Virginia Tech where he received a bachelor's degree in Forestry. Eddie is a United States Veteran and served 4 years in the Army. In his free time, Eddie enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Eddie was the son of the late Adolph and Annie M. Sniegon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Iva Mae Sniegon, and his sisters Frances Ruark, and Virginia A. Sniegon. He is survived by his stepson Shaun Ivan O'Donnell (Marcia) of Yorktown, VA, stepdaughter Ann Marie Peatross (Michael) of Aylett, VA, siblings Rose Lovelace (William) of Annapolis, MD, John Sniegon (Joanne) of Englewood, FL, and Marvin Adolph Sniegon of Mechanicsville, VA. Eddie is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren, as well as many other family members. A funeral service will be held at the Sunny Slope Cemetery.² He was born on July 7, 1946 at King William Co., Virginia.^1,3 He married Sherry Dianne Viers, daughter of James William Viers and Mamie Edith Boyd, on November 6, 1970 at Sparta, Alleghany Co., North Carolina.¹ Joseph Edward Sniegon and Sherry Dianne Viers were divorced on October 22, 1974 at Radford, Virginia.¹ Joseph Edward Sniegon died on November 4, 2022 at Virginia at age 76.²

She is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband, James; her son, John; her brother, Todd and his wife, Tracy; sister, Heather and her husband Anthony Malave; step-sister Jennifer and her husband Steven Teisen; step-brothers Tim and his wife Dina Blackstone and Stephen Blackstone; best friend, Shannon; step daughters, Danielle and Diana; nieces and nephews; Sherylyn, Shane, Sean, Shaye, Shannyn, Joshua, Zoe, Caleb, Elliana, Evangeline, John Jr., Jessica, Kayleigh, Bradley, Lauren, and Rachel; step-grandchild Mikayla. Kimberly was a graduate of Lenape Regional High School in Medford and was a current employee of Boardwalk Honda, Acura and BMW for the past three years (a hard worker and helped out in any way she could). She was a member of Second Cape May Baptist Church in Marmora, N.J. The biggest achievement to her was being the best mother she could be to her beautiful daughter Olivia and beloved son John. Her greatest legacy is her humor and that will be remembered. There is an outpouring of friendship and relationships that Kimberly created. There was no one by whom she was not loved. Interment will follow at Seaside Cemetery. on January 5, 2010.¹
