Miss Easter was a member of the First Morabian Church of Georgia and was a sophomore at Brookwood High School in Snellville. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Billy (Shirley) Easter; two brothers; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her maternal great-grandmother; and her godfather. on September 17, 1987.⁵

Wilson Horton of Whiteville, N.C; a son, Mark Horton of Lexington County; her parents of Winston-Salem, N.C; and a sister, Mrs. T.J. Blackburn of Winston-Salem. on November 24, 1981.³

     Donald Wilson Horton was born on May 1, 1929 at Whiteville, Columbus Co., North Carolina.^2,3 He married Gayle Dyanne Carper, daughter of Clifford Andrew Carper and Emma Helen Kerner, on June 1, 1956 at Kernersville, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.^1,4 Donald Wilson Horton died on April 13, 2017 at Columbia, Richland Co., South Carolina, at age 87.² He Donald Wilson Horton, 87, of Columbia passed away peacefully Thursday, April 13, 2017 in his home. Wilson, the husband of Sue Horton, was born May 1, 1929 in Whiteville, North Carolina to the late Donald H. and Sallie T. Horton. Wilson served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of NC State University. He worked for the South Carolina Forestry Commission for over 34 years. Surviving along with his wife, Sue, of Columbia are his son, Mark (Lou Ann) of Suwanee, GA; Tami Kyre (David) of Irmo; Julian Whitlock of Columbia; and Michael Whitlock (Kelly) of Prosperity. Wilson was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica, step-grandson, Daniel, and step-daughter, Vanessa. on April 19, 2017.²

     Rev. Mitchell Dane Carlyle Rev. Mitchell Dane Carlyle, age 62, of China Grove, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021, of complications with his courageous battle with COVID-19. Born October 18, 1958, in Forsyth County, Mitch was the son of Linda Griffin Carlyle and the late Redin Carlyle. He was serving as pastor of Beacon of Grace Community Church in Walkertown, NC, at the time of his death and also serving others with his gift of compassion at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. Mitch was the picture of a God-loving man. He lived his life of service to the Lord and shared his passion for scripture and ministry not only through all he did but with his kind words. He loved to preach the Word of God and he was a gifted prayer warrior. If Mitch told you he would be praying for you, you knew for certain God would hear those prayers. His passion was helping others not just in their time of need but because he loved to help others. In his spare time, Mitch loved to go fishing. His daughter says fishing was just an excuse to have snacks and watch the bobber instead of really fishing! He did enjoy fly-fishing with his son (even though he would trash his tackle box). He loved traveling to the beach or the mountains or just making great family memories. His most favorite pastime was spending time with his granddaughters. Mitch was a true family man, his time with them was precious, and making those memories was most important to him. In his words, treasures are not here but in heaven. Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother Linda, are his loving wife of 14 years, Twila Rhodes Carlyle. He also leaves behind his daughter, Cara Carlyle Kelemecz (Andrew) of China Grove, and his sons: Mitchell Garrett Carlyle (Gwendolyn) of Newark, IL, and Brandon Mitchell Henderson of China Grove; his brothers: Rev. Mark Carlyle (Lori) and Rodney Carlyle. Also, surviving Mitch is his precious granddaughters: Abigail, Lilah, Atlee, Kaylee, and baby Emilee making her appearance soon.² He was born on October 18, 1958 at Forsyth Co., North Carolina.² He married Twila Rhodes circa 2007.² Rev.
