Alsup, Route 1, Amber, in a U.S. Army hospital in Germany. Miller was injured three days ago when his truck overturned on an icy road. He was the grandson Mrs. Christie Haley, 802 Oklahoma. Miller was reared at Amber and completed his high school education after he joined the army. In Germany, he was stationed with Missile Battalion., a Battery, 333rd Artillery. He had completed two years of army service. Miller was a member of the First Baptist Church at Amber. on January 18, 1962.²

Almeda was a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her father: Lee C. Hale; and grandparents, Gordon and Roenie Alderman and Roy and Almeda Hale. She is survived by her husband, Ricky G. Linkous; sons, Ricky Lee Linkous and Travis Linkous; her mother, Rachel Hale; mother-in-law, Jane Gordon; and special friend, Burdis Barker. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends also survive. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd. on August 12, 2010.⁵
