She was a longtime member of Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren. She was an avid league bowler for 35 years and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, best friend, advisor, and always there for her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Talmage Graybill; and a brother, T.A. Graybill, Jr. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Dale M. Jerry Lee Bratton, 67, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Jerry served as the store manager at Winn-Dixie before opening Cave Spring Car Wash in 1986 with his brother, Kenneth. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and nine grandchildren. Left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his wife of 42 years, Carin; Chris and wife Lauren, Drew and wife Ashton, and Melissa Hodge and husband Tommy; brother Kenneth Bratton and wife Cathy; sister Carol Bratton; grandchildren, Paisley, Carter, Kyle, Macy, Peyton, Levi, Chase, Nathan, and Alaina; and many nieces and nephews. Mullins, 56, died Wednesday in a Roanoke hospital after an industrial accident while at work at Pepsi-Cola Bottlers at Cloverdale. The cause of death was massive head injuries according to Dr David Oxley, deputy chief medical examiner for Western Virginia. A state occupational safety inspector is investigating to see if Mullins fell into a machine or was struck by it, according to Janice Hathcock of the Occupational Safety office in Richmond. The machine handles pallets that separate soft drinks, she said. A report is expected by next week, she said. Kenneth W. Mullins, a son, said his family has not been able to learn what happened. He said his father had worked in the bottling plant for about 10 years. Mullins lived on Hollins Road Northeast. Joe Laudato the plant manager could not be reached for comment. on April 25, 1986.¹³

Cralle, son-in-law, William E. Ray, Jr., and a very special friend, Paul C. Williams. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth W. and Elizabeth Mullins; daughter, Judy M. Ray; grandchildren, Eddie and Jason Ray; and great-grandchildren, all of Roanoke; nephews, Mitchell and Darrell Spencer, of Ferrum. Peggy was an avid gardener who took special pride in her prize winning Mums and Iris. Peggy retired from Roanoke County Schools where she was a bus driver for 37 years. She also worked part time at Hills Department Store for several years prior to her retirement. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. on December 27, 2005.⁴
