Graveside services will be at Ellen White Cemetery in Uniontown, Ala. He was born September 24, 1958, in Selma, Al., to the late Harry Donald and Helen Cochran Osborne. He was preceded by his parents, Harry Donald and Helen Cochran Osborne; sister, Teresa Gail Osborne; brother, Tom Osborne. He is survived by his wife, Martha Nichols Osborne; daughter, Nicole Livingston of Clarksville, Tn; Son, Joesph Osborne of Clarksville, Tn; step-son, Kenneth Nichols (Gail) of Selma; step-daughter,Carla Cole (Edward) of Uniontown; sisters, Linda Draper and Mary Wilson both of Roanoke, Va; 6 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerome Williams, Gordan Vann, David Vann, Tommy Plummer, Don Miller, and Ron Miller. Underwood; his Stepmother, Mrs. Mabel Underwood, both of Max Meadows, Va; three sisters, Mrs. Juanita Holbrook, Glen Allen, Va; Mrs. Susie Ball, Rainsville, Ala; Mrs. Becky Umberger, Ceres, Va; three brothers, Jimmy Underwood, Roanoke; Phillip Underwood and Mike Underwood, both of Max Meadows, Va. Interment will be in Sherwood. on May 9, 1980.³

     Kenneth Eugene Skelton was buried at Evergreen Burial Park, 1307 Summit Ave SW, Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ He Kenneth E. Skelton 67 of New Castle was born in Roanoke, VA on February 24, 1946. He passed away on January 17, 2014. He grew up in Vinton, VA having wrestled at William Byrd High School taking top honors in state competition. He was active in Boy Scouts at Vinton Baptist Church. Kenneth loved hunting, fishing, archeology, and Bible study. He was in the US Navy Reserves during the Cuban Missile Crisis and earned an associate's degree in Architectural Design from Virginia Western Community College. He was active in Bible studies at his church Mountain View Christian Church in New Castle, VA, his resident group at the New Castle Manor and the neighboring complex at the New Castle Commons. He was preceded in death by his parents; Illamae Skelton Lindsay and Enoch Skelton, step-father; Wade Lindsay. He is survived by daughter and son-n-law; Michelle Fears and Douglas, son and daughter-n-law; Jamus Skelton and wife Karen, two sisters; Rosalyn Dozier (Lewis), Jeannette Charlton, two brothers; Charles Skelton (Jacki) and Louis Skelton (Pat) six foster grandchildren; Ksusha, Oksana, Nastya, Lena, Lyuba, and Bayan. Funeral arrangements will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Paitsel Funeral Home with Reverend Stephen R. Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Paitsel Funeral Home. The family wants to thank the sweet workers at the Gentle Shepherd Hospice, the ministry of the Loaves and Fishes at the New Castle Christian Church, phenomenal evening sitters Hilda Harless and Robin Buzzard, all the workers at Market Street Pharmacy, and Daddy's many friends who brought much happiness to his life (and ours) with many visits, cards, and calls in the last few months of his life.⁴ He was born on February 26, 1946 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,3,4 He married Lois Judith "Judy" Collins, daughter of Clarence Andrew Collins and Maggie Volena Moran, on March 30, 1964 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ Kenneth Eugene Skelton died on January 17, 2014 at Craig Co., Virginia, at age 67.^2,4

Douglas Wayne Beckner, 29, of Offutt Air Force Base, Omah, Neb., formerly of Roanoke, will be Friday, with burial in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Surviving are his wife, Anni Neilson Beckner; a daughter, Tina Marie Beckner, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Colonel E. Beckner, Roanoke; a sister, Mrs. Janet Crosswhite, Vinton. on July 8, 1971.³
