Pallbearers will be Jerome Williams, Gordan Vann, David Vann, Tommy Plummer, Don Miller, and Ron Miller. He passed away on January 17, 2014. He grew up in Vinton, VA having wrestled at William Byrd High School taking top honors in state competition. He was active in Boy Scouts at Vinton Baptist Church. Kenneth loved hunting, fishing, archeology, and Bible study. He was in the US Navy Reserves during the Cuban Missile Crisis and earned an associate's degree in Architectural Design from Virginia Western Community College. He was active in Bible studies at his church Mountain View Christian Church in New Castle, VA, his resident group at the New Castle Manor and the neighboring complex at the New Castle Commons. He was preceded in death by his parents; Illamae Skelton Lindsay and Enoch Skelton, step-father; Wade Lindsay. He is survived by daughter and son-n-law; Michelle Fears and Douglas, son and daughter-n-law; Jamus Skelton and wife Karen, two sisters; Rosalyn Dozier (Lewis), Jeannette Charlton, two brothers; Charles Skelton (Jacki) and Louis Skelton (Pat) six foster grandchildren; Ksusha, Oksana, Nastya, Lena, Lyuba, and Bayan. Funeral arrangements will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Paitsel Funeral Home with Reverend Stephen R. Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Paitsel Funeral Home.
