Lyles at home; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah L. and Ivan D. Caldwell, Sr. of Moneta; his beloved grandchildren, Constance M. Caldwell and Ivan D. Caldwell, Jr; sister, Ruth Creasy; half sister, Sandra Walton; half brother, Melvin Hylton, all of Roanoke; stepsisters, Isabell Pittman of Richmond, Mary Howell, Huddleston; Christine Swank of Florida; stepbrothers, Bobby Hylton, Franklin County; John Hylton, Roanoke; James Hylton, Inland S.C; a host of other relatives. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. on July 22, 1991.⁶

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip E. "Big Phil" Lyles. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ivan Caldwell, Moneta; sons, Phillip I. Lyles and fiancee, Dawn Goad, Michael J. Lyles, all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Constance M. Caldwell and Drew Caldwell, Moneta; her mother, Mildred Kesler, Montvale; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis Fralin, Salem, Shirley and Von Widener, Montvale, Barbara and Steve Shrewsbury, Rocky Mount; brother, Randy Kesler, Montvale; an aunt, Louise Shrader, Roanoke; she was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery, Floyd County. on November 25, 1999.⁴
