She was born April 10, 1939, and was preceded in death by her mother, Nannie D. Beeghly and a granddaughter, Brittany. Kitty was a registered nurse and a faithful servant of the Lord. Surviving are her husband, Terry Nelson; one son, John Carr, Rocky Mount; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lee Anne and Jamie Hartberger, Rocky Mount, Christina and Richard Taylor, Boones Mill; four grandchildren, Jamie Aaron, Christopher, Julia, and Brianna; her father, Marvin Beeghly, Rocky Mount; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Bobby) and Ada Beeghly, Henry; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive; a special friend, Sue Joyce, and so many others; a special thanks to Gwen Stubbs and Darlene Law. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. on March 7, 1997.³

Westmoreland, Greensboro, N.C; Mrs. Leonard Shively, Mrs. Silas Willis, both of Ferrum; two brothers, Howard Johnson, Jack Johnson, both of Ferrum. Burial will be in the family cemetery near Ferrum. on May 4, 1954.²
