     Hubert Willis Summerfield Hubert Willis Summerfield, 84, of Spencer, died Friday, April 4, 2014, in the Miletree Center, Spencer. He was born April 26, 1929, at Clio, Roane County, a son of the late Elias and Emma Justice Summerfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velva Oreda Paxton Summerfield on November 16, 2013; one grandson, Lee Michael Summerfield; two brothers, Ray and Eugene Summerfield. Mr. Summerfield was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired employee of Ravenswood Aluminum and a member of the United Steel Workers of America, Local 5668, Ravenswood. Hubert was a Christian who attended the Boggs Fork Community Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Debra of Ripley, Larry and Cheryl of Spencer, Steve and Jeane of Abingdon, VA; three brothers, Bobby Summerfield of Cleveland, OH, Conard Summerfield of Nitro and Jackie Summerfield also of Cleveland, OH; two sisters, Nella Faye Parker of Clio and Geneva Elmore of Cleveland, OH; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 21 immediately after the funeral service. He was born April 26, 1929, in Clio, Roane County, and was a son of the late Willie E. and Belva M. Armstead Crihfield. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Preston, and a sister, Hazel Mae. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 21, Spencer. He was retired from Pechiney Corporation, Ravenswood, and was a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 5668. He was a former Boy Scout leader, enjoyed rabbit hunting and gardening, and attended Salt Hill Church. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Maxine D. Paxton Crihfield; sons, Harold E. Crihfield Jr. and Randy L. Crihfield, both of Evans; daughter, Joyce Waskey of Sandyville; brothers, Elton Crihfield of Manassas, Va., Carrol Crihfield of Big Chimney and Lakin Crihfield of Clio; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two stepgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father; John Paxton; and her first husband, Lee Childers. She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Copen of Left Hand, W.Va; mother, Janet Paxton of Amma, W.Va; two children, April Arbogast Rose and her husband, Jerry of Amma, W.Va., and Aaron Childers and his wife, Mandy of Clio, W.Va; sisters, Charlotte Osborne of Amma, W.Va., Debbie Robinson and her husband, Rondal of Walton, W.Va., and Shelia Nichols and her husband, Robert of Amma, W.Va; brother, Richard Paxton, of Stafford, Va; step-children, Barb Elswick, Dennis Copen, Jr., and Kathy Bryant, all of Charleston; four grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren. Lois will be sadly missed by all who knew her. on September 13, 2013.²

     Arnold Lee Childers was buried at Clover Cemetery, Clover, Roane Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He was born on May 3, 1943 at West Virginia.^1,3 He married Lois Gail Paxton, daughter of John Samuel Paxton and Janet A. McGlothlin, on December 17, 1975 at Covington, Alleghany Co., Virginia.^1,2,4 Arnold Lee Childers died on April 24, 2000 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 56.^2,3 He Lee Childers, age 56, of Left Hand, formerly of Durbin, died April 24, 2000 in Memorial Division CAMC, after a short illness. He was a Welder, a steelworker and a former miner. Surviving him are his wife, Lois G. (Paxton) Childers, a daughter, April Lynn Childers, of, Left Hand, a son, Aaron Lee Childers, of Clendenin, his Mother, McClelland Jackson Childers, of Grandridge, Florida, brother Lonnie Childers, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, sisters, Victoria Brown of Wildwood, Florida, Theresa "Sissy" O'Berry of Cleveland, Alabama and three grandchildren. Burial in Clover Cemetery. on May 4, 2000.²

     Charlotte Louise Paxton Charlotte Louise Osborne, 56, of Left Hand, died Friday, April 18, 2014, in the CAMC – General Hospital, Charleston. She was born November 11, 1957, at Charleston, a daughter of Janet A. McGlothlin Paxton of Left Hand and the late John S. Paxton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Copen. Charlotte was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. In addition to her mother, survivors include two daughters, Misty Butcher of Belton, TX and Jasper Osborne at home; two sons, Richard Paxton of Stafford, VA and Shane Osborne of Charleston; five grandchildren, Sierra Butcher, Layne Paxton, Kylie Paxton, Lucas Paxton and Shane Osborne, Jr; two sisters, Debbie Robinson of Walton and Sheila Nichols of Left Hand. Burial will be at a later date in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.² She was buried at Clover Cemetery, Clover, Roane Co., West Virginia.² Her married name was Osborne.¹ She married Unknown Osborne.¹ Charlotte Louise Paxton was born on November 11, 1957 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She died on April 18, 2014 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 56.²
