He is survived by his devoted daughter and best friend, Betty Lou "Bird" Bryant; as well as two loving and caring nieces, Donna Rae Giles Fitzgerald of Lovingston and Hope Elaine Giles Pappas of Tye River; two great-nephews, Gerald Wayne Pannell and Cameron Scott Fitzgerald; a great niece, Tiffany Hope Pannell; one sister, Virginia B. Harrison of Roanoke; a very special and caring aunt, Pauline Simpson of Shipman; and a devoted and dedicated uncle, Howard "Skeeter" Simpson of Lovingston. After her retirement in 1984, she enjoyed traveling cross country and spending time with her family. Mrs. Autry will be laid to rest beside her parents at Westhampton Memorial Park. on January 17, 2008.³
