Born in Lynchburg, VA, she was a longtime resident of the Hamilton and Trenton areas before moving to Ohio in 2007. She was a homemaker and very active in her church community. Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Square for 50 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years, a church deacon, the Financial Secretary for over 30 years, and volunteered at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton for over 30 years. Predeceased by her parents, Ada and Henry Kanak and her husband, Guy DeCara, Sr; she is survived by her son, Guy DeCara, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Dublin, OH; one granddaughter, Danielle Ramsey and her husband, Jacob of Delaware, OH; and one great-grandson, Hayden Tyler Ramsey.
