He was a self employed construction worker that loved working with his hands and helping people and he loved all of his grandbabies. Along with his mother he is survived by his wife; Kelly Vaughn, sons; John Vaughn Jr. and wife Crystal, Ryan Vaughn and wife Gerri, grandchildren; Malakii Vaughn, Kendrix Vaughn, Makayla Vaughn, brothers; Jimmy Vaughn, Virgil Vaughn, sister; Virginia Caudill, nieces; Whitney Vaughn, nephews; Kenny Caudill, Chris Caudill, and Bailey Vaughn.4 He was born on October 18, 1971 at Lee Co., Virginia.1,3 He married Peggy Sue Adams, daughter of Rondla Lee "Ronnie" Adams and Myrtle Lee Jones, on December 14, 1992 at Campbell Co., Virginia.1 John Victor Vaughn Sr. and Peggy Sue Adams were divorced on February 11, 1999 at Campbell Co., Virginia.2 John Victor Vaughn Sr. died on May 30, 2015 at Bedford, Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 43.4

Thomas Edward Cash Sr. Thomas Edward Cash, Sr., 80, of Amherst, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Malver Bryant Cash. Born on October 16, 1937, in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Fletcher Thomas Cash and the late Josie Massie Cash. Thomas served our country in the United States Navy, retired from the Lynchburg Foundry after 40 years of service, and was a member of Wesleyan United Methodist Church. Thomas enjoyed working in the garden, playing golf, and singing in the choir. He loved his grandchildren and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Cash, Jr; a brother, James Franklin Cash; and two sisters, Elaine Mays and Dorothy Tomlin. He is survived by his children, Brenda Cash (James), Teresa Lawhorne (Lindsey), and Cynthia Clark; nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchild; brother, Harold Cash (Katherine); sister, Mary Tippins; special friend, Jean Scharr; and numerous other family members and friends. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the Altavista American Legion Post 36 and the Gretna American Legion Post 232.4 He was buried at Amherst Cemetery, Amherst, Amherst Co., Virginia.3,4 He was born on October 16, 1937 at Nelson Co., Virginia.2,3,4 He married Malver Marie Bryant, daughter of Loyd Thomas David Bryant and Katherine Cousins, on August 15, 1959 at Lynchburg, Virginia.1,2,3,4 Thomas Edward Cash Sr. died on January 6, 2018 at Lynchburg, Virginia, at age 80.4

Andrew Franklin "Frank" Rutledge was buried at Meeks Cemetery (also known as Spray Cemetery), Eden, Rockingham Co., North Carolina.4 He Andrew "Frank" Franklin Rutledge, age 76 of 114 W. Moore Street, Eden, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. A graveside service will be held in the Meeks section of Woodlawn Cemetery. Frank was born July 5, 1937 in Rockingham County to the late Andrew Martin Rutledge and Lillie Barham Rutledge. He was a member of Coolwell Presbyterian Church in Amherst, VA and attended First Wesleyan Church in Eden. He was a retiree of American Tobacco Company. Preceding him in death along with his parents was a sister, Linda Gilley and brother, Russell Wade Rutledge and daughter Bonnie Rutledge. Surviving is his wife, Doris Adams Rutledge of the home; daughters, Rhonda Wright and husband Jeff, Dorinda "Kay" Johnson and husband Ted all of Eden; step-sons, David Wayne Adams and wife Linda, Richard Lee Adams and wife Annette all of Amherst, VA; sisters, Maxine Hudson, Jean Carter, Patsy James, Carolyn Robinson, Dixie Edwards and Gail Powell; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.4 He was born on July 5, 1937 at Rockingham Co., North Carolina.2,4 He married Doris Louise Bryant, daughter of Loyd Thomas David Bryant and Katherine Cousins, on February 19, 1982 at Amherst Co., Virginia.1,2 Andrew Franklin "Frank" Rutledge died on March 29, 2014 at Lynchburg, Virginia, at age 76.3,4
