A son, Robert Elmore, a Navy pilot during World War II, was listed as missing and presumed dead in 1945. In addition to her daughter, survivors include a grandson, James Robert French; three sisters, Mrs. D. T. Carr Sr. and Miss Rachel Koke, of Princeton, and Mrs. Dan Myers of Harrisburg, Pa; and a brother, Dr. Leonard Hoke of Nitro. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Alex Shelton, C. O. Stafford, Robert D. Turner, Richard T. Lloyd, Jess Hughes, and H. H. McGaughey. Flower bearers will be the WSCS of the Kee Street Methodist Church. on January 29, 1959.3

Born Sept. 19, 1926 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late James and Olah Hoke Elmore. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, cousin and friend. She enjoyed visiting her friends, baby-sitting her grandson when he was young, and volunteering for as many church activities as she could. She was a member of Kee Street United Methodist Church where she attended all of her life. She was a member of Weatherford Fellowship Circle, Ruth Byrd Circle, Everready Sunday School Class, Official Board, Worship Committee, and volunteer for Mark's Place. She retired after a lifelong career from Princeton Bank and Trust Co., now known as First Community Bank. To many customers in the Princeton area, Margaret was one of the bank's best and most favorite bank tellers. Her husband, Jack French, and one brother, Robert Elmore, preceded her in death. She is survived by son, Jim and his wife Susan (Walsh) French of 104 Cottonwood Court JoHo Estates, Princeton; son, Andrew French; grandson, Michael French of the Naval Aircraft Carrier USS Enterprise; granddaughter, Andrea (Missy) French of Arizona; two great-grandchildren of Arizona; special cousins, Nancy Donovan and Karen Thorn of Princeton. Born Jan. 21, 1920, in Lerona, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie Cole Bauguess. She retired after 35 years of service at Maidenform, Inc. in Princeton where she was the payroll clerk. She was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton and attended church with her daughters while living in Sanford. She had been a resident of Sanford since the mid 1990's, moving there from Princeton. Ruth's family meant the world to her. She dearly loved her daughters, grandchildren, and triplet great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett L. White; two brothers, Essie and Ralph Bauguess; and two sisters, Betty Sue and Lucille Bauguess. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Linda Moore and husband, Gary, and Wanda Morris and husband, Roger, all of Sanford, N.C; three grandchildren, Heather Moore Miller and husband, David, Kristin Moore Steed and her husband, Bryan, and Michael Moore; triplet great-grandchildren, Tyson, Lindley, and Camden Miller; four brothers, George Bauguess and wife, Dottie, Ray Bauguess and wife, Irene, Charles Bauguess and wife, Louise, all of Princeton, and Bennie Bauguess and wife, Frances of Hillsborough, N.C; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on June 28, 2012.2
