He was also president of Surface Banana Co., chairman of the board at Valley Bank in Green Valley, and a member of the board of directors member of the Athens Bank in Athens. In addition, he was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Hall's Ridge in Princeton, Masons and Beni Kedem Shrine Temple of Charleston, Shrine Club's Cripple Children's Committee of Bluefield, Princeton Rotary Club, Princeton Elk's Lodge, Bluefield Sales Executive Club, and a veteran of World War II. He was born in Lerona.
Surviving are his wife, Glenna Elmore DeLung; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Barbara) Wood and Mrs. David (Donna) Meadows, both of Princeton; two sisters, Mrs. Garnett Trent of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Mrs. Meryl Hersman of Princeton; and two brothers, Maurice DeLung of Princeton, and Larry DeLung of Pompano Beach. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers; Stanley Belcher, Burl Compton, Micky Compton, John D. Johnston, Guy Scyphers, Glen Hill, Randall Grant, and Curtis White. on November 8, 1983.4

She is survived by her four children, Kim Gresham and husband Neil of Jacksonville, FL, David Elmore of Homosassa, FL, Scott Elmore and wife Roxanne of Baltimore, MD, and Jennifer Mueller and husband Chip of Crystal River, FL; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
