He had been an officer with the Virginia Parole and Probation Board in Danville for 12 years and had retired as Welfare Director for Pittsylvania County having from 1961 to 1974. He had also managed the Martinsville office of The Virginia Employment Service for eight years. He attended the Army Administration School at Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pa., and during World War II served as an English Instructor to Spanish Speaking Inductees in Puerto Rico. Mr. Ingram is survived by a daughter, Barbara I. Most, Riva, Md; two brothers, A.F. Ingram Jr., Roanoke, James Ingram, Orlando, Fla; four sisters, Ruby I. King, Burkeville, Edith I. Shively, Lynchburg, Betty I. Matthews, Rocky Mount, Jean I. Meador, Callaway; a grandson, William Lee Most; and a granddaughter, Lisa Most, both of Riva, Md. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 1994 in Highland Burial Park, Danville. on January 4, 1994.³ He died on January 8, 1994 at Annapolis, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland, at age 79.^4,3

He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Danville Technical Community College. Early in his career he managed heating and air conditioning companies, then became the central service supervisor for the metropolitan area for Montgomery Wards. Later, he worked as the director of operations for Ginger Cove in Annapolis and Plantation Village in Wilmington, N.C. Mr. Most served in the National Guard in Washington, D.C. He was the past commodore of Harbour Village Yacht Club in Hampstead, and was an Eagle Scout. An avid sailor, he enjoyed sailing the Chesapeake Bay for over 25 years, then cruising off the North Carolina Coast. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars. He was preceded in death by his son, William Lee Most. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Barbara Ingram Most; one daughter, Lisa Most Glasgow of Riva; one brother, Robert R.
