She served as past president (and most other offices) of the McKenney Women's Club (Federation of Virginia). Smilie graduated from Ferrum College and worked in Richmond and for several years in Chatham. on June 15, 2002.6

Mr. Most was born July 18, 1943, in Sacramento, Calif., to the late LaRue and Edwin W. Most, and attended Hammond High School in Alexandria, Va. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Danville Technical Community College. Early in his career he managed heating and air conditioning companies, then became the central service supervisor for the metropolitan area for Montgomery Wards. Later, he worked as the director of operations for Ginger Cove in Annapolis and Plantation Village in Wilmington, N.C. Mr. Most served in the National Guard in Washington, D.C. He was the past commodore of Harbour Village Yacht Club in Hampstead, and was an Eagle Scout. An avid sailor, he enjoyed sailing the Chesapeake Bay for over 25 years, then cruising off the North Carolina Coast. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars. He was preceded in death by his son, William Lee Most. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Barbara Ingram Most; one daughter, Lisa Most Glasgow of Riva; one brother, Robert R.
