Affectionately known as Pete, Flora lived in Lynchburg most of her life and retired from Randolph College. She was an avid runner for many years, loved to travel and loved the Virginia mountains. She lived in Nelson County since 2019. A private memorial service at the Barker Family Cemetery in Hurt, Virginia will be planned at a later date. on November 7, 2021.⁴
