Winston Edward Sirmans Winston Edward Sirmans – 72, of Valdosta passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on October 28, 2016. He was born in Nashville, Georgia on December 12, 1943 to the late Edward and Ruth (Boyd) Sirmans. Winston was a veteran of the Korean War where he served honorably in the Army from 1965-1967. He worked with National Linen Service and Alsco for 43 years before retiring in 2010. He worked many businesses in and around Valdosta including Dr's offices, Hospitals, VSU, MAFB and many restaurants. He enjoyed getting to know all his customers and was always looking for an opportunity to serve and meet the needs of others as demonstrated by his involvement in ministry through his church. As a member of the Grace Baptist Church for 28 years, he ran a bus route on Sunday mornings where he picked up mostly underprivileged children so the church could give them breakfast before the morning services. After becoming a member of the Pine Grove Community Baptist Church, he became an instrumental member of the Living Waters Ministry that focuses on feeding and clothing the less fortunate members of our community. All that knew him, knew that he loved his family, his church and the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Gail Jordan and a grandson Alden Williams. In addition to his mother, Ruth (Boyd) Sirmans, Winston is survived by: Wife of 47 years Patricia Jones Sirmans, Valdosta, Georgia; Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Dana (Danny) Swilley, Wendy (Roger) Culpepper, Debra (Victor) Williams; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Dusty (Jennifer) Sirmans; Grandchildren:

Brenda Jane Jones Brenda Jane Jones Fogarty, 63, of Dublin, formerly of Valdosta, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Mrs. Fogarty will be laid to rest at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Eldorado. Born December 20, 1952 in Valdosta, Mrs. Fogarty was the daughter of the late Dewitt Jones and June Buttick Jones. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Billy A. Sutton and her second husband, Jimmy Fogarty. She was retired. Mrs. Fogarty is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sarah Monk and Tommy and Joanne Sutton, all of Dublin; a daughter and daughter-in-law, Robin Monk and Jackie Kresin of Valdosta; a brother, Franklin Jones of Valdosta; two sisters, Patricia Sirmans of Valdosta and Fonda Melton of Moultrie; eleven grandchildren, Tiffany Monk, Chasity Monk, Daniel Monk, Marshal Kresin, Adam Thompson, Erin Joachimi, Jacob Joachimi, Cody Joachimi, Joshua Monk, Rebekkah Stanton and Kendrah Stanton; and six great-grandchildren.2 She was buried at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Eldorado, Tift Co., Georgia.2 Her married name was Sutton.2 Her married name was Fogarty.1 She married Jimmy Fogarty.1,2,5 Brenda Jane Jones married Billy A. Mr. Jones was the only one in the state of Georgia that had a license to ride his four wheeler anywhere he wanted to go. Survivors include his nephews and nieces, Dusty (Jennifer) Sirmans of Valdosta, Tonya Weldon of Moultrie, John Melton of Valdosta, Bob Melton of Moultrie, and Robin Monk-Kresin of Valdosta, Wendy Culpepper of Valdosta, and Debra Williams of Valdota; and several cousins. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Sirmans, Fonda Melton, and Brenda Fogarty. Graveside service will be Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex.3
