Willard Daniel Poole was buried at Poole Family Cemetery, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 He Willard Daniel Poole, 85, of Princeton, died peacefully, Saturday, October 14, 2017 with his family by his side. Willard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend. Willard loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Rogers Street Community Church where he and his brother Jack sang together for 53 years for revivals, funerals and gatherings. Willard served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and was a retired coal miner. Born, August 15, 1932 in Princeton, he was the son of the late Ervin Calvin Poole Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Jones-Poole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis Marie Skeens-Poole whom he married in 1964; one daughter, Sarena Mitchem; one grandson, Eric Stupalsky; son-in-law, Steve Collins; four brothers, Claude Clifford Poole, Cletus Calvin Poole, Ervin Calvin Poole Jr., and Ted Poole; and one sister, Ruby Poole. Survivors include his four loving daughters, Beautina Poole-Martin & husband Gene Martin of Daniels, Teresa Poole-Collins of Oakvale, Robin Poole-Pruett and Vivian Poole both of Princeton; four grandsons, Danny Lee Blankenship II, Trevor Pruett, Tyler Pruett and Eric Hill; three granddaughters, Ashley Hill, Felicia Collins and Danielle Collins; two great-granddaughters, Jaden Bailey and Emily Hill; six great-grandsons, Danny Lee Blankenship III, Devon Blankenship, Braden Bowling, Kaiden Crawford, Cameron Crawford and Nathan Hill; one great-great-grandson, Danny Lee Blankenship IV; one brother, Jack Poole & wife Betty Poole; one sister, Faye Poole-East & husband Randall East, both of Princeton; son-in-law, Clifford Mitchem; and several nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Burial will follow with military graveside rites provided by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard in the Poole Family Cemetery, Pigeon Roost in Princeton.1 He was born on August 15, 1932 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 He married Phyllis Marie Skeens, daughter of Howard Lee Skeens and Helen Alice Thomas, on February 14, 1955 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.1,3,2 Willard Daniel Poole died on October 14, 2017 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 85.1

Born April 4, 1955 in Princeton, he was the son Shelby Byrd of Princeton, and the late Dwight Edward Collins. Dwight was a bridge crew foreman for the WV State Road Department and a graduate of Oakvale High School. While attending Oakvale High School, Steve was outstanding in all the sports programs at the school. In addition to his mother Shelby, he is survived by his wife, Teresa Collins; Two daughters: Felicia Collins and Danyell Collins; One sister: Karen Dunagan; Three grandchildren: Jayden Bailey, Kaiden Crawford and Cameron Crawford. Born November 8, 1946 in Basin he was the son of the late Hollie McKinney and Lucy Jane Mills McKinney. Denver was a 1966 graduate of Mullens High School and Pineville Vo Tech Center. He loved the Lord and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Princeton. He was a certified welder and heavy equipment operator and retired from Eastern Associated Coal Company of Herndon. He was member of UMWA and Monroe County Coon Hunters Association. He is now riding his favorite horse, Stardust, and hunting his favorite dogs, White Eye and Lucky, in the mountains of Heaven. He loved all of his family dearly and will be missed by everyone who knew him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Lynne McKinney; brothers, Alvin, Alfred and Calvin McKinney; sister, Loraine Mills and daughter-in-law, Teresa Gearhart McKinney; nephew, Joseph Paul Mills, Jr. Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 50 years, Linda Skeens McKinney; son, Ronnie McKinney of Lashmeet; former daughter-in-law, Sandra Powell McKinney of Lashmeet; seven grandchildren, Steven McKinney of Knoxville, TN, Dustin McKinney and fiancé Tara Gaydon of Matoaka, Haylee McKinney and Sierra Cook of Matoaka, Kayla Powell of Lashmeet, Ronnie McKinney, Jr. of Lashmeet and Holly McKinney of Princeton; great grandchildren, Kirra McKinney of Princeton the light of his life, and all the other special great grandchildren, Zachary, Addison and Marcus Fortner all of Lashmeet and their father, Seth Fortner; Taylor and Cameron Jones of Tulsa, OK and a baby boy due in June; sister-in-law Judy McKinney of Hickory, NC; nieces and nephews, Teresa Felger, Alvin McKinney, Jr., Cindy Monk, Sandy Mills, Richard McKinney, Laura McKinney, Melissa Gay and Tony Walker; special friends, Tasha Boswell, Ray Skeens, Ronnie Lusk, Cliff Edwards and Frankie Mills; his special fur babies, cat Twinkie and horse, Spook.
