Harrell, 82, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Carroll County on October 25, 1932 to the late Dorsie W. Harrell and Clara Stanley Harrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Cassell; a brother, Gorman Harrell; a sister-in-law, Ruby Harrell; and a brother-in-law, Jack Agee. Mahlon was a charter member of the Meadows of Dan Fire Department and a member of the Meadows of Dan Ruritan Club. He was also active on the Electoral Board, Social Services Board, Equalization Board, and ASCS. He was a dairy farmer and an avid gardener, hunter, and fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Carol Ann Harrell of the home; daughter, Carolyn Harrell and special friend Terry Lyalls; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Patsy Harrell, Flynn Harrell, and Michael Harrell and special friend Jana Cassell, all of Meadows of Dan; seven grandchildren, Dennis Harrell and wife Shannon, Rachel VanSutphin and husband Steve, Sissily Harrell, Nathan Harrell, Chad Pilson, Elliot Pilson, and Austin Harrell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Velda and Coan Agee of Keysville, Evelie Agee of Meadows of Dan, and Reva and Charlie Lucas of Woodlawn; brothers and sister-in-law, William "Bill" and Geri Harrell of Martinsville, Armond Harrell of Ridgeway; sister-in-law, Janet Harrell of Meadows of Dan; brother-in-law, Donnie Cassell of Meadows of Dan; and special caregiver, Anita Coleman. Funeral service was held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church with Pastor Lowell Willis officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. on February 26, 2015.²

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Leon Pilson; and a brother, William Ray Pilson. Surviving are two sons, Chad Pilson of Bassett, Elliot Pilson of Stuart; his mother, Carleene Hatcher Pilson of Stuart; three brothers and sisters in law, C.L. and Kathy Pilson of Stuart, Jerry Pilson of Stuart, Davis and Pauline Pilson of Woolwine; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Ross Harbour United Methodist Church with Pastor Sandy Wright officiating.      Jenny Alice Carlsson was born on August 20, 1919 at Stockholm, Sweden.¹ As of April 10, 1941,her married name was Rule.¹ She married Dr. Kenneth Calder Rule, son of Louis Thomas Rule and Mae Lillian West, on April 10, 1941 at Stockholm, Sweden.¹ Jenny Alice Carlsson died on April 13, 2014 at Loveland, Larimer Co., Colorado, at age 94.² She Alice C. Rule, 94, of Loveland, Colo., loving wife of Dr. Kenneth Rule, died on April 13, 2014. She passed away peacefully in Pathways Hospice surrounded by her family. She is survived by daughter Gudrun MacMillan (William) of Jackson, Mich., son Erik Rule (Sylvia) of Bright, Ontario Canada, daughter Dr. Ingrid Rule of Loveland, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Alice was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and active in our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Alice was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and came to this country as a bride. She was deeply involved in her community through the Westside Extension Club, Meals on Wheels, House of Neighborly Service, Neighbor to Neighbor, Habitat for Humanity and Larimer County Food Bank to mention a few organizations. She was a host family for many international students through the CSU International Center. Together with her husband they opened The Tennis Center, which brought the first indoor tennis courts to Northern Colorado. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. on April 20, 2014.²
