She was born April 25, 1925, to Frank A. Rudolph and Elsie (Smith) Rudolph in Vermillion County. She married Claude A. Law on March 24, 1946, and he survives. Other survivors include four children; Marvin Law, of Rushville; Claudia Simmons, of Shelbyville; Colleen Miles and husband, David, of Springfield, Tennessee; and Darrell Law and wife, Terri, of Shelbyville; sister, Evelyn Thompson and husband, Tom, of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren; four great -grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd Rudolph; and infant sister. Mrs. Law had lived in the area since 1946, after moving from Vermillion County. She graduated from Perrysville High School in 1943. Mrs. Law was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and Zion Women's Guild. She was also a charter member of Chatty Charmers Homemakers Club, '49ers Homemakers Club, past county homemaker president and was named Homemaker of the Year in 1998. Mrs. Law was a lifetime member of Indiana National Red Poll Association, past member of Indiana Beef Cattle Association, Indiana State Cowbells Association, and an active 4-H leader for over 30 years. She was born in Gessie, Indiana on June 14, 1931 to the late Frank A. & Elsie Edith (Smith) Rudolph. Evelyn graduated from Perrysville High School in 1950 and Lakeview School of Nursing in Danville, IL. On February 20, 1955 she married the love of her life, Thomas C. Thompson, who preceded her in death on October 16, 2018. Evelyn was a registered nurse and worked at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville and Putnam Community Hospital in Greencastle. She was a member of the Yeddo Baptist Church. She enjoyed making greeting cards, crocheting, reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Gregory (Beth) Thompson of Cedarsburg, WI, Linda Millikan of Terre Haute, and Michael (Kelly) Thompson of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, Adrianne, Whitney, Samantha, Brandi, Amanda, and Kristina; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; a brother, Lloyd Rudolph; and her sister, Mary Law.      Claude Albert Law Claude A. Law, 100, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Heritage House Convalescent Center. Born December 6, 1917 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Albert Law and Sophia (Kuhn) Law. He married Mary S. (Rudolph) Law on March 24, 1946 and she preceded him on December 22, 2016. Survivors include four children: sons: Marvin D. Law of Homer, Darrell D. (Terri) Law of Shelbyville; daughters: Claudia D. Simmons of Shelbyville, Colleen K. (David) Miles, Springfield, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, brothers: Richard Law, Robert Law, Kenneth Law, Chester Law; sisters: Mildred Adams, Mary Katheryn McVey; and sons-in-law, Terry Simmons. Mr. Law had lived his entire life in this area, and was a lifelong self-employed farmer. He graduated from Waldron High School, and was a lifetime member of Zion United Church of Christ, a member of Shelby County Beef Association, Indiana Beef Association, Indiana & National Red Poll Cattle Association, and was a long time 4-H leader. He was a World War II US Army veteran, attaining rank of Private Fist Class, serving in the European Theatre. Claude enjoyed hunting in his earlier years, mushroom hunting, and watching sports on TV. He loved his family and grandchildren and spending time with them. Tom graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1948 and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On February 20, 1955 he married the love of his life, Evelyn J. (Rudolph) Thompson, who survives. He was a member of the Yeddo Baptist Church. Throughout the years he was a farmer, worked at Impex and was a truck driver for Overpeck Gas Company for 16 years. He was a hard worker, enjoyed playing golf with his son, and working in their huge garden. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn; three children, Gregory (Beth) Thompson of Cedarsburg, WI, Linda Millikan of Terre Haute, and Michael (Kelly) Thompson of Crawfordsville; a brother, Leo (Betty) Thompson of Crawfordsville; 6 grandchildren, Adrianne, Whitney, Samantha, Brandi, Amanda, and Kristina; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
