James Herbert "Herb" Ward was buried at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Clinton, Anderson Co., Tennessee.3 He was born in March, 1929.4 He married Chloe Ann Pearson, daughter of Perry Coke Pearson and Stella Lee Giles, on September 23, 1950 at Anderson Co., Tennessee.1,2,3 James Herbert "Herb" Ward died on May 25, 2015 at Clinton, Anderson Co., Tennessee, at age 86.3 He James Herbert "Herb" Ward, age 85, of Clinton, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, as a result of a brain injury after sustaining a fall at home. Herb was a life-long resident of Clinton. He served in the Korean War and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He retired in 1990 as Partner-in-Charge of the Knoxville office of KPMG, an international accounting firm. Mr. Ward is preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Tina Kisamore Ward; brothers, D. Ward II and Roger Ward; and grandparents D. and Prudey Ward. He is survived by loving wife of 64 years, Chloe Ann Pearson Ward; one daughter, Joanna (Bill) Pace of Clinton; two sons, Eric (Kim) Ward of Morristown, Perry (Dacy) Ward of Knoxville; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Peggy Ward; two nieces, and one nephew. He was a member of First Baptist Church Clinton for 66 years. He taught Sunday School and Training Union, was Co-Treasurer for many years, served on numerous committees and was honored to have been named Deacon Emeritus. Community service includes: Anderson County Commission from 1960-1966; Clinton Utilities Board from 1966-2012, the last several years serving as Chairman Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for East Tennessee Baptist Hospital from 1975-1987; MHRIDA for 25 plus years; and the Optimist Club of Clinton from 1970-present. Herb enjoyed playing golf and working in his yard. The high point of the summer was family vacations to the beach. The interment will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton. on May 27, 2015.3
