     Kenneth Russell Wells Mr. Kenneth R. Wells, 87, of Brazil, passed away June 19, 2014 at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility. He was born December 26, 1926 in Rockville, IN, the son of Alonzo and Thelma Loy Wells. He graduated from Fontanet High School, Class of 1945. Kenny served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater and was Honorably Discharged in 1947. Kenny worked at the Putnamville Correctional Facility and held the position of Captain as a supervisor, retiring in the early 1990's. He also worked as a semi-truck driver as a younger man. Kenny was a member of the American Legion Post #2 . He enjoyed gardening, cutting the grass and being ‘Papaw'. On October 19, 1978 Kenny was united in marriage to Ethel Squires Heck. Together they have attended the Ebenezer Church and have been devoted parents and grandparents to their family. Surviving family include step-children, Diana and Bob Lancaster of Brazil, Beverly Heck, Darla Heck Sacopulos and husband Michael all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Tod Haring, Tifani Baker (Jon), Hana Brosner (Brad), Reanna Winkle (David), Rusty Heck, Andrea Wiley, Nicholas Sacopulos and Alexander Sacopulos; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; one sister Margaret Wells of Terre Haute. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Ron Heck and grandson, Nathan Haring.
