     Ruth J. Whitley Ruth J. Moore, 85, of North Pekin, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Reflections Memory Care in Pekin. Born October 15, 1932 in Kilbourne to Everett R. and Sarah F. (Tackman) Whitley, she married Donald F. Moore on July 30, 1949 in North Pekin. He passed away March 8, 1997. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters. Surviving are one son, Ricky Moore of East Peoria; two daughters, Janet (James) Rollins of Pekin and Debra Golder of Germantown Hills; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Lowenda Wubben of Manito; and one brother, Gail Whitley of South Pekin. Ruth had worked in the cafeteria for North Pekin-Marquette Heights School District #102 for 10 years. She and her husband had also taught both ballroom and country dancing for twenty seven years with their group, Some Moore Dancers Club. She had been a member of the Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter 673 and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Heather Robertson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.2 She was buried at Glendale Memorial Gardens, 18119 State Route 9, Pekin, Tazewell Co., Illinois.2 She was born on October 15, 1932 at Kilbourne, Mason Co., Illinois.2 As of July 30, 1949,her married name was Moore.1 She married Donald Franklin Moore, son of William Moore and Clara Mae Leek, on July 30, 1949 at North Pekin, Tazewell Co., Illinois.1,2 Ruth J.      Mary Jeanne Courter Mary Jeanne (Courter) Moore 92, passed peacefully into the Lord’s arms Friday, May 27 in Wilmington, NC where she was visiting her son Ron, his wife Phyllis, and their family. Jeanne was born June 18, 1918 in Allendale, IL to Lester and Marie (Keeling) Courter. She married Robert J. Moore on June 26, 1937. They were married 66 years, until his death in 2003. She was a life- long resident of Wabash County. Jeanne’s greatest joy was serving the Lord and her family. She faithfully attended First General Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel, IL. Jeanne is survived by son Ronald Julian Moore and wife Phyllis (Parker) of Wilmington, NC, and daughters Angela Jeanne Craig (Larry), and Sheila Ann Strockbine (Richard) both of Mt. Carmel. Carmel, died Feb. 12, 2003, at Shurtleff Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Carmel. She was born Dec 28, 1916, in Mt. Carmel the daughter of Paul Nimrod and Lorena (Mussilman) Rosignol. Mrs. Meier was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Mt. Carmel and the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for six years as cook at South School. Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Raymond Meier of Mt Carmel; three sons, Jerry L. Moore of Las Vegas, Larry K. and William Ray Moore, both of Newburgh; step-daughter, Barbara Ann Litheriand of Cooksville, Tenn; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, first husband, Leslie Moore; five brothers, Howard, Vernon, Clyde, Everett and Perry; two sisters. Bertha Taylor and Frances Dossett Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Short Funeral Home in MT. Carmel with burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery. on February 13, 2003.2

     William Richard Stockbrine was buried at Allendale Cemetery, Allendale, Wabash Co., Illinois.5,6 He William Richard Strockbine passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, March 28, 2014 surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer. Richard was born on October 11, 1947. He graduated from Mount Carmel High School and attended Wabash Valley College. During the Viet Nam War, Richard joined the U.S. Army and served three years, spending one year in Saigon, Viet Nam. Richard was an avid golfer, spending hours at the golf course where he met many good friends through the years. Richard went to Coal Mining School, but when a job opened at Mt. Carmel Public Utility Company, he went to work there in the “old plant” on March 8, 1971. He worked his way up through the ranks and became Gas Supervisor on March 8, 1991. He always felt so blessed by God to have such a good job and loved the guys he worked with. He retired from MCPU in 2009. He immensely enjoyed his retirement, always thanking God for being able to retire while he was able to enjoy it. Richard met and started dating Sheila Moore in the summer of 1966. When he got orders to go to Viet Nam, they were married on July 7, 1968. They have been married almost 46 wonderful years. After being told they would never have children, Sheila and Richard began the process of trying to adopt. In His amazing mercy, God healed Sheila and they were so very blessed with the birth of twin boys, Justin Alan and Jared Scott in 1975. Two years later they were awesomely blessed by a baby girl, Jill Renae. Richard was so proud of his children and loved them beyond measure. They brought him so much joy all of his life. Richard is survived by his wife, Sheila Moore Strockbine who loved him deeply, his children, Justin (Melissa) Strockbine, Jared (Nicki) Strockbine, and Jill (Brandon) Kight. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Andrews, sister, Elaine Davis, and brothers, J. (Jennifer) Andrews and Jerry (LaVonne) Andrews, two brothers-in-law: Ron Moore and Larry Craig and two sisters-in-law: Angela Craig and Phyllis Moore. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, who he dearly loved; Hunter Deisher, Noah Strockbine, Blake Kight, Dirk Kight, Ethan Strockbine, Asher Kight, Sammy Strockbine, Claira Kight, and Judah Kight, and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Jack Andrews, a brother-in-law, Harold David and his mother and father-in –law, Mary Jeanne and Robert Julian Moore, who thought the world of him and treated him like a son. A private family burial was held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Allendale Cemetery, with Ingram Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.6 He was born on October 11, 1947.5,6 He married Shelia Ann Moore, daughter of Robert Julian Moore and Mary Jeanne Courter, on July 7, 1968 at Mount Carmel, Wabash Co., Illinois.1,2,3,4,5,6 William Richard Stockbrine died on March 28, 2014 at age 66.5,6

He was a native of Mt. Carmel. Ron was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Princeton to Robert Julian Moore and Mary Jeanne Courter Moore. Ron is survived by the love of his life of 56 years, Phyllis Parker Moore, who at first glance proclaimed at the age of 13 he would marry. He is also survived by his five children who he dearly loved and was so proud of: Tim (Sheryl) Moore of Charleston, SC, Robert Moore of Round Rock, Texas, Elizabeth (Richard) Oates of Parkton, NC, Kristina (Terry) Carr of Wade, NC, and Cynthia (Roger) Shuey of Hope Mills, NC. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Angela (Larry) Craig and Sheila (late Richard) Strockbine, both of Mt. Carmel; and brother-in- law Donnie Parker and his wife Ruthie Parker of Mt. Carmel. Ron retired from a successful career in sales management. He continued on to own several businesses. He also enjoyed golf, traveling, family gatherings, church and was an avid fan of Duke University Basketball. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Jeanne Moore, his in-laws, Joe and Frances Parker, and his brother-in-law, Richard Strockbine. on February 16, 2015.4
