He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. His wife, Melva Lee Barrow, died in 1963. Survivors: Three daughters, Deborah Lee Barrow of Florence, Italy, Paula Jean "Jackie" Moon of Houston and Melody Ann Barrow DeMattia of Arlington; sister, Grace I. Martin of Euless; two brothers, Albert Eugene "Gene" Barrow and Jerald Bennett "Benny" Barrow, both of North Richland Hills; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. on May 9, 1994.⁵
