Lucinda Ann "Cindy" Schmidt Lucinda Ann Vick, daughter of Joseph Dean Schmidt and Mettie Marie Thomas Schmidt Funk, was born, May 24, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. She departed this life, Thursday, January 17, 2013, in her home, Climax Springs, Missouri at the age of fifty-four years, seven months and twenty-four days. On June 11, 1979 in Olathe, Kansas, she was united in marriage to John Michael Vick. Together they shared thirty-three years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Schmidt and his wife, Dorothy and her mother, Mettie Funk. Survivors include her husband, John “Bubba” Vick of the home; two sons, Chris Vick of Gravois Mills, Missouri and B.J. Vick and wife, Amy of Edgerton, Kansas; four grandchildren, Zachary Vick, Brandon Vick, Beau Vick and Brooke Vick; a sister, Vicky Drum and husband Phil of Springfield, Illinois; two brothers, Joe Schmidt and wife Bobbie of Springfield, Illinois and Gary O'Brocto of Independence, Missouri; her best friend, Terri Hodges of Osawatomie, Kansas; two aunts, Janice Keegan of Overland Park, Kansas and Eula Enloe of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Cindy was a graduate of Belton High School in Belton, Missouri in the class of 1976. She worked at Tumble Weed in Garner, Kansas as a bartender for eighteen years. After moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, she and Bubba built and owned 12 O’clock Somewhere Bar and Grill on Lake Road 7-9 for many years. She was currently the manager of The Runaway II. Cindy was baptized into the Catholic Church. She was a member of the Lake Road 7-9 Fire Flies, the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 32 in Springfield, Illinois and the Red Hatters. She was always community minded and had won first place several years for her floats in the Climax Springs VFW Loyalty Days Parades. Cindy had a gift for never meeting a stranger. Her warmth and compassion always made those she met feel like family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.3 She was born on May 24, 1958 at Columbia, Hamilton Co., Ohio.2,3 As of June 11, 1979,her married name was Vick.3 She married John Michael "Bubba" Vick on June 11, 1979 at Olathe, Johnson Co., Kansas.1,3,4 Lucinda Ann "Cindy" Schmidt died on January 17, 2013 at Climax Springs, Camden Co., Missouri, at age 54.3

John Michael "Bubba" Vick John "Bubba" 'Mike" Michael Vick, son of William Tollie Vick, Jr. and Marjorie Hazel Brown, was born, November 4, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, July 19, 2019, in his home, Climax Springs, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, eight months, and fifteen days. On November 26, 2014, in Camdenton, Missouri he was united in marriage to Janice Elaine Echelberry. Together they shared four years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marjorie Diann Vick, first wife Patricia Ann Spenney, his second wife Lucinda (Cindy) Vick, and a step son, Joshua Jones. He is survived by his wife, Janice Vick of Climax Springs, Missouri, his sons, Chris Vick of Climax Springs, Missouri, and B.J. Vick and wife Amy of Edgerton, Kansas, step daughter Lacy Kissel and husband Josh; grandchildren Zachary Vick, Brandon Vick, Beau Vick, Brooke Vick, Deanna Guysinger and husband Sam, Johnathan Inman, Julie Jones, Cody Jones Jaylynn Jones, and Aydin Kissel, and four great-grandchildren; four brothers, William Lee Vick, Sr. and wife Charlotte of Darnell, Arkansas, Tim Vick, Sr. and wife Belle of Fairview, Missouri, James Kevin Vick of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Terry Allen Vick and significant other Sondra of Olathe, Kansas; sister-in-law Vicky Drum and husband Phil of Springfield, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. John was raised in Olathe, Kansas and worked in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating high school he went into the United States Army, he served during Vietnam. He moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1975, back to Olathe, Kansas, and then to Edgerton, Kansas. He moved to Climax Springs in 2006. John was a Master Cabinet Maker working for Armstrong Kitchen for 25 years. He was an avid automobile restorer; he owned various businesses; 12 O' Clock Somewhere, Vick and Sons, Stay Dry Roofing, and Streamline Custom Paint and Body. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood working, boating, fishing, barefoot water skiing, and watching Nascar, especially Tony Stewart. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, son and a caring neighbor and friend.
