     Johann Honeycutt was buried at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Mount Carmel, Wabash Co., Illinois.4 She MOUNT CARMEL — Johann Shearer, 85, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at Oakview Nursing Home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born March 1, 1935 in Breckenridge, Michigan, the daughter of Erna and Beulah Irene (Schonert) Honeycutt. She married Donald K. Shearer on Oct. 3, 1952 and together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage until his passing on Jan. 26, 2014. Johann was a member of the Mount Carmel High School graduating class of 1952. Early in her working years, she was employed as a telephone operator and as a waitress. She worked in the clothing factories, both in Mount Carmel and Albion, before her retirement in 1980. Johann was an avid NASCAR fan and Casey Kane was her favorite driver. Johann enjoyed traveling, where she visited 47 states either by car or motorcycle. Johann was a member of Asbury Chapel for 60 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Johann will be dearly missed. Johann will be remembered by her daughter, Perfidia Woods and husband, Kenny of Mount Carmel; sons, Archey Shearer and wife Theresia of Plainfield, Indiana, Nick Shearer and wife Carol of Winder, Georgia and Rickey Shearer and wife Teresa of Carthage, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, Zach (Ashlei) Woods, Josh (Melissa) Woods, Ashley (Josh) Dixon, Lauren (Allen) Dixon, Emily (Brandon) Sciara, Grace, Havah and Alivia Shearer, Hannah (Katelyn) Shearer, Paige (Stephen) Clay; great- grandchildren, Maddox, Payton and Avery Woods, Finley, Jaxx, Bo, Levi, Logan, Ashlynn, Morgan Kate, Sadie, Lacy and Jack Dixon, baby Clay arriving in June of 2021; sister, Sarah Small; brothers, Erna (Brenda) Honeycutt, Terry (Tina) Honeycutt; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews. Johann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Shearer; great-granddaughter, Callie Paige Woods; sister, Janet Ankenbrand; brother-in-law, Gaylord Small. A private family graveside service was conducted Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Vaughn Courter officiating. She was laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Don.4 She was born on March 1, 1935 at Breckenridge, Gratiot Co., Michigan.4 As of October 3, 1952,her married name was Shearer.4 She married Donald K. Shearer on October 3, 1952.2,3,4 Johann Honeycutt died on December 23, 2020 at Mount Carmel, Wabash Co., Illinois, at age 85.4

     Gaylord A. Small Mr. Gaylord A. “Bud” Small, age 83, of Robinson, IL, died Friday September 27, 2013 at 9:10 PM at Skilled Care Unit, Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL, following several months of failing health. Born October 24, 1929 in Millerville (Petrolia) Lawrence County, IL, he was the son of Icle “Jack” and Lora D. (Keen) Small. On December 1, 1950 he married Sarah K. Honeycutt and she survives. He worked in Coal Mine Construction for AMAX Coal Company; and locally as a sheet metal fabricator for Sturm Plumbing and Heating, Robinson, IL, retiring in 1992. Bud served in the U.S. Army, Korea; was a member of the Highland Church of Christ, Robinson, IL; member of Sheet Metal Workers Union #20, Terre Haute, IN; E.M. Coulter Post #69, American Legion, Robinson, IL; 50 year member Bridgeport Lodge #386, AF & AM, Bridgeport, IL; Swords of Bunker Hill and Star Prowler Square Dance Club. Bud worked in coal mine construction, working at several AMAX mines early in his career. Survivors include his wife, Sarah K. Small, Robinson, IL; son and daughter-in-law, G. Michal and Kathi Small, Evansville, IN; two step grandchildren, Stephanie and Darrel Russell, Mt. Vernon, IN; Brandon Smith, Evansville, IN; four step great grandchildren, Kati Russell, Mt. Vernon, IN; MaKenna Russell, Mt. Vernon, IN; Kale Smith, Carmi, IL and Kinady Smith, Carmi, IL along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant sister, Juenella Small and a brother, Jack Small on June 24, 2013. Burial will be in the Whitehouse Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lawrenceville, IL.3 He was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bridgeport, Lawrence Co., Illinois.3 He was born on October 24, 1929 at Millerville, Lawrence Co., Illinois.3 He married Sarah K.
