     Claressa B. Walker Claressa B. (Walker) Pratt, age 74, of Elkhart, Kansas died August 13, 2016, at her home in Elkhart, Kansas. She was born April 2, 1942, in Springfield, Colorado the daughter of Clarence and Pansy (Hartley) Walker. Claressa grew up in Johnson and graduated from Johnson High School. She attended Fort Hays University, where she received a degree in Education. She taught school in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and Germany. She moved to Elkhart in 1981, where she taught elementary classes for more than 20 years until she retired. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Morton County Historical Society. She enjoyed reading and going to the Senior Center. Survivors include a step-son, Rick Pratt and wife Debbie of Centerville, Georgia; brother, Jim Walker and Sharon Nagel of Ulysses, Kansas; two nephews, Jeff Walker and wife Trisha of Ulysses, Kansas, and Mike Walker and Michelle Steinbock of Broomfield, Colorado, and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, and one sister. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Elkhart, Kansas with Reverend Shella Chol officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 2:00 PM CST at Walsh Cemetery at Walsh, Colorado.¹ Her married name was Pratt.¹ She married Unknown Pratt.¹ Claressa B. Charles of Edgemere; two brothers, William D. Charles of Hampstead and Randall F. Charles of Ohio; two sisters, Barbara Webb of Manchester and Bonnie Elwood of Dundalk; a halfbrother, Robert C. Williams of Dundalk; and 11 nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Avenue. Warrenton, Va., with the Rev. Earl Shiflett officiating. Burial will be in Catlett Virginia Cemetery. on March 15, 1989.²

She was the wife of Howard George Webb. Born Oct. 14, 1946, in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William and Marie Gearheart Charles. She was part owner of Webbs Tree Service in Manchester. Surviving also are two sons, Eric Webb and Steven Webb, both of Manchester; a sister, Bonnie Elwood of Dundalk; three brothers, Darrel Charles and Robert Williams, both of Baltimore, and Randall Emerick of Ohio; four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Butch Charles. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead. Pastor Earl Shiflett will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. on February 29, 2000.³
