She was the author of several books including "Shaker Days Remembered" and co-author of "Have the Children Been Fed." She was a retired teacher with Ravenna Mich. Junior High School, a retired teacher and later librarian with Cedarview Christian School in Kingsport, and was a missionary with the Bancroft Gospel Ministry in Kingsport. Surviving are four daughters, Thelma Mackenzie and Rebekah Briggs, Muskegon, Mich; Esther Gilbert, Bristol, Tenn., and Naomi Johnson, Fruitport, Mich; three sons, Norman Hulings, Highland, Mich., Nelson Hulings, Tippecanoe, Ind., and David Hulings, Springlake, Mich; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Weaver Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Guy Tilley and Pastor Jim Fields officiating. The body will then be taken to Clock Funeral Home in Muskegon, Mich., where graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. on October 16, 1992.3

Floyd Archibald Brinkley Floyd A. Brinkley, 72, of 57 Mineral Street, Oil City, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Oil City following a short illness. Born in Vowinckel, PA on March 18, 1938, the son of the late James Brinkley and Delena Hulings Brinkley, surviving. He attended Cranberry schools. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years spending 18 months in Goosebay, Labrador. He was married on January 30th, 1960, to Mary Lorraine Kryk, who survies, at St Patrick's church in Franklin by Father Bernard Webber, Celebrating 50 years of marriage this year. For many years he was a truck driver for Evenflo Corporation. He then moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia, for 15 years working various maintenance jobs. Upon his retirement in 2001 he returned to Oil City where he resided with his wife Lorraine and their dog Blue. Along with his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his children Mike and Susan Niederriter of Pittsburgh, John and Judy Brinkley of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Ron Brinkley of Atlanta, Georgia, and Robin Brinkley of Brockway, PA; Grandchildren Shane, Corey, Crystal and Logan Niederriter, Sarah, Zachary and Anna Brinkley; Siblings Diane Langford, Linda Brinkley and John Brinkley; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cathy and Pat Clutter and eleven nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing, talking with people, working on his home and helping others. He had a wide circle of friends. After his retirement he enjoyed walking his dog and spending time with his grandchildren. Laura married LaVern Holy April 1, 1958. They enjoyed 30 years of marriage until his death in 1988. Laura worked at Kelly’s Care, formerly known as Patsys Homestead. She enjoyed painting, playing games, traveling, cooking, and most of all being with her family. She was a beautiful, loving, caring, trustworthy person. She will be deeply missed. Laura is survived by: her children, Gina (Oliver Paquet) LaBeau, Andy (Connie Jo) Holy, Paul (Cheryl Rockey) Holy, and Beth Holy; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband; children, Lois, Butch, Charles, and James; brothers, Paul and Ralph; and sisters, Delina and Grace.2 She was born on February 24, 1935 at Pennsylvania.2 As of April 1, 1958,her married name was Holy.2 She married LaVern Dennis Holy on April 1, 1958.2 Laura M.
