John Galvin and Phillip Parker, and with her work with the state association of medical technologists. She won the AMI Distinguished Achievement Award in 1968. Beanie was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Margaret; and her friends, Jerry Goodrich and Doris Galvin She is survived by her "kids", Jolynn, John and Jerry Galvin, Steven Hooper; and her special "grandson", Patrick Hooper all of whom she considered her family. Beanie had many friends from Glory Christian Fellowship and St. Bernadette Catholic Church who loved and cared for her Their support in the last weeks of her life has been greatly appreciated She had incredible stamina in battling her many health problems which included polio, diabetes and several bouts with cancer, which was the cause of her death. Thank you to the many doctors and medical professionals who cared for her all these years at Presbyterian and UNMH. Beanie will be cremated and has asked that her ashes be buried in her family plot in Artesia. on March 10, 2002.⁵

Charles Zengel of the church with veterans graveside services to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Mrs. Bean was born March 9, 1918, in Tulsa. Okla., and moved lo Artesia in 1939. She was a member of the American Legion, St. Anthony's Church, treasurer of the LPN Association for district 5 and a veteran of World War II. Mrs. Bean is survived by one sister. Bina Ann Bean of Artesia. Pallbearers for the services will be Johnny Achen, W.D. Cunningham, James Evarts, Dennis Jenkins, W. W. Thomas and Wendel Welch. on December 11, 1978.⁴

Dunn (Darlene) of Washington and Kathleen Sue Hilderbrand (Harry) of Washington; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Polland, Jeremy and Jared Triplett, Alisha Roberts, Rebecca Dunn, Jessica Dunn, Sabrina Leshko, Joe and Jim Dunn and Jonathan Stewart; nine great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Debbie Minor (David) of Eighty Four, Dona DeAngelis of Canonsburg, Darlene Ziemba (Frank) of Cecil and Edward Puskarich of Akron, Ohio; a stepgrandson, Chad Ziemba; a stepgreat-granddaughter; and a sister, Shirley Comer (Bob) of Greene County. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where military honors will be accorded at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 12, by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg, and American Legion Post 902, Houston, combined honor guard. Private interment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. on September 9, 2013.⁵
