     Derick Arthur William Hurrelbrink was buried at Saint Paul's Union Cemetery, Beaver Township, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He was born on February 10, 1983.¹ He died on November 20, 1990 at age 7.¹

     Robert Alvin Slater Robert A. Slater, 69, of 405 E. Charles Street, Bucyrus, died April 12, 2007, at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Born November 29, 1937, in Bucyrus, he was the son of Alvin and Lela (Loyer) Slater. Slater is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy (Stiefel); sister, Betty and husband Edward Ricker of Spring, Texas; nephew, Tom and wife Angela Ricker of Spring, Texas; three greatnephews, Aaron, A.J. and Evan Ricker of Troy, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Jerry Ricker and an infant brother. Mr. Slater graduated from Chatfield School and attended Capital University. In 1956 he became involved in the direct selling industry. Last July marked his 50th anniversary in that field. At one time, Bob owned The Chateau, which housed many area catered affairs. From 1979 to 1995, Bob and his wife owned and operated Faces & Fashions in downtown Bucyrus. In 1976 they established Slater Tours, which is primarily known for its New York City theatre tours. He was devoted to his community. For 28 years he proudly served as the senior choir director of Good Hope Lutheran Church. He has directed the Relay for Life choir each year, as well as the choir for the 9/11 memorial service and the 175th anniversary of the Bucyrus choir. He was a founding member of the Crawford County Community Concert Association and served as president throughout most of its 31 years. For more than 40 years Bob was a member of the Bucyrus Little Theatre, where he was active on the board of directors in many capacities. He was actively involved as a member of Kiwanis and served on the boards of the Salvation Army and HomeCare Matters. In 2006 he received the Citizen of the Year Award from the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce. A memorial service was held Saturday in the Good Hope Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, with pastors John Kerr, Michael Wiechers and Harold Hasenauer officiating.⁶ He was born on November 29, 1937 at Bucyrus, Crawford Co., Ohio.^2,3,5,6 He married Judith A.      Edward Gaylord Ricker was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, 835 Kaler Avenue, Bucyrus, Crawford Co., Ohio.^2,5 His Social Security Number was 268-14-3336.³ He was born on July 14, 1922 at Galion, Crawford Co., Ohio.^2,3,4,5 He married Evelyn M. "Betty" Slater, daughter of Alvin Franklin Slater and Lela Fern Loyer, on June 23, 1946 at Chatfield, Crawford Co., Ohio.^1,6,2,5,7 Edward Gaylord Ricker died on May 3, 2007 at Conroe, Montgomery Co., Texas, at age 84.^6,2,3,5 He Edward G. "Bud" Ricker, July 14, 1922 - May 3, 2007. Former Bucyrus resident Edward G. "Bud" Ricker, 84, of 13526 N. Lee Shore, Willis, Texas 77318, died at the Conroe Regional Hospital in Conroe, Texas. Bud was born in Galion and was the son of the late Gaylord and Minnie Ricker. On June 23, 1946, he married his wife of 60 years Betty Slater, and she survives. Other survivors include a son, Tom Ricker and wife Angela of Spring, Texas; three grandsons, Aaron Ricker of the U.S. Navy and fiance Patrice, A.J. Ricker of Texas, Evan Ricker and wife Heather of Troy, Ohio; a sister, Virginia Smith of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Judy Slater of Bucyrus. He is preceded in death by a son, Jerry Ricker, and a brother-in-law, Bob Slater. He was a 1940 graduate of Galion High School and in 1942 enlisted in the Navy and seiyed four years in the South Pacific as a seabee. Bud worked for 32 years at Timken in Bucyrus as a maintenance supervisor from 1950-1970 then from 1970-1982 he was at the Timken plant in Gaffney, S.C., and retired after 32 years. Mr. Ricker had been active in the Bucyrus City Schools, past president of the PTA and Fourth Ward councilman for 10 years. Memberships include the VFW, American Legion Post 181, past master of Nevada Masonic Lodge, past worthy patron of Nevada Eastern Star, Masonic Chapter and Council of the Bucyrus Lodge and former member of St Pauls Lutheran Church of Bucyrus. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Neumann officiating. A Masonic service will be provided by the Nevada Lodge and will begin at 1:45 p.m. Burial of ashes will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with military services provided by the American Legion Post 181. on May 13, 2007.⁵

Brown were divorced on October 3, 1990 at Crawford Co., Ohio.^3,6 Gerald Eugene "Jerry" Ricker died on July 24, 1996 at Bucyrus, Crawford Co., Ohio, at age 48.^2,3,8,4 He BUCYRUS - Gerald "Jerry" Ricker, 48, of 1127 Sherman St. died Wednesday, July 24, 1996, at his home after a five-year battle with congestive heart failure. He was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Galion. A lifelong area resident, he was a 1966 graduate of Bucyrus High School. Mr. Ricker had worked as a furnace operator at the Timken Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and AMVETS Post 27. He is survived by his ex-wife, Eileen Ricker of Bucyrus; a son, Evan Ricker of Bucyrus; his parents, Edward and Evelyn Slater Ricker of Willis, Texas; two stepdaughters, Angie Wells and Cheryl Rehm, both of Bucyrus; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a brother, Tom Ricker of Texas. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Tim Brown Ricker. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. M.P. Paetznick. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. on July 25, 1996.³
