Mr. Kerchner came to Grand Junction from Oil City, Pa., where he had lived since childhood. Mrs. Kerchner died Jan. 7, 1966. He was born at Phillipston, Pa., on April 13, 1910. He and Alma Martin were married at Jamestown, N.Y., in July, 1945. His interests were hunting, fishing and beekeeping. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. Surviving are two brothers and four sisters, including Miss Myra Kerchner of Clifton, Mrs. Mona Barnes and Mrs. Annabel McCluskey of Grand Junction. on January 25, 1973.⁴

Iris was born April 16, 1919, the daughter of the late Lucius and Gladys DeHart in Akron, Ohio. Upon graduating high school, she played semi-pro basketball. She worked at BarneyOEs in Schenectady for more than 10 years as a cosmetic buyer, and then moved to New York City where she worked for Dorothy Gray-Tussy-Olgolvie. Iris then traveled throughout the United States working in the cosmetic business and was one of the highest paid women in country at that time. She was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Schenectady, a member of the Altar Rosary Society of that church and was President for 10 years and enjoyed fishing and watching the Mets. Iris is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Kurt) Wenzel and Janis Jastrebski; step-daughters, Patricia Waters and Debra Waters; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William B. Waters; brothers, Robert DeHart and Lawrence DeHart; sister, Gloria Campbell; and son-in-law, Joseph J. Jastrebski. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. on April 21, 2014.⁵

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved being around all animals, especially dogs. She was preceded in death by her son, John Just, in 1993. Surviving are her husband, John L. Just; daughters, Denise Cross, Florida; Cheryl and her husband, John Faulkner, Florida; and Anna and her husband, Joe Joyce, Hughestown; grandchildren, Lawrence Cross; Christina Faulkner; John Faulkner; Alexandra Faulkner; Joe Joyce III; John Joyce; Brent Joyce; Kahli Joyce; and Aidan Joyce; great-grandchildren, Annabel Joyce; Joseph Anthony Joyce; and Ava Maria Cross; sisters, Pat Arnone, California and Janette Jones, New Jersey; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. on November 21, 2011.³

     Jeanette Abate Jeanette Jones (July 23, 1938 - May 07, 2020), 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at The Mercerville Center in Hamilton Township, NJ. She was born and raised in Pittston, PA, prior to moving to Ewing Township, NJ. Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Mary Abate and her sister, Louise M. Just. Jeanette is survived by her daughters: Roxanne Jones of Ewing Township, NJ and her fiancé Gregory J. Holgate of Somerset, NJ and Rhonda and Anthony Viteritto of Bordentown Township. Her sister: Patricia L. Arnone of Burbank, CA and her two children: Louis Arnone and Suzy Whitesel and her son, Justin. Her grandchildren: Nicholas R. Bonelli, Deana L. and her husband Michael Gabryszewski, Joel A. Bonelli, Olivia, Anthony, Sophia, Carmella and Raena Viteritto and great grandson Anthony J. Bonelli and several nieces and a nephew: Denise, Cheryl, Anne Marie and Johnny. Jeanette was a compassionate animal lover, especially for dogs and cats. She really enjoyed going out to eat at her favorite restaurants.² Her married name was Jones.
