Born on April 11, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late William T. and Jean (McCorkle) Govan. A resident of Randolph the past 32 years, Stuart was a 1960 graduate of Ravenna High School following which he attended Kent State University where he graduated with a double major in Pre-Law and Political Science. The past 14 years he was employed at Real Living Title Agency in Akron as a Real Estate Title Examiner, and formerly worked at Portage County Title Company in Ravenna for many years in the same position. He was a former member of the Ravenna Community Choir and a member of the Ohio Land Title Association. Stu enjoyed making pottery and had a passion for cooking. Survivors include his sons, William S. and Michael J. Govan, both of Randolph, special adopted daughter, Colleen Patciak of Rootstown, sister Ann Barnard of Colorado, nieces Chris, Sarah, Liz, nephews Bob, Kenny, David and Nick and 4 great-nieces. Also surviving are his 50 plus "Patio Party Groupies" and his in-laws Peg and Kenny Royer, Sr., brother-in-law, Kenny Royer, Jr, brother- in-law, David (Aggie) Royer all of Randolph and sister-in-law Debbie Royer of Virginia. Memorial calling hours will be Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, St. Rt. 44 at the corner of Pioneeer Trail, Mantua. A private family burial will be held.3 He was born on April 11, 1942 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio.4,2,3 He married Jacques K.
