Born September 22, 1953 in Radford she was the daughter of the late John Clayton Cox & Joan Phillips Cox. She was also preceded in death by her brother John “Buck Cox, Jr. She is survived by her Husband – Dennis Lee Poff – Snowville; Children – Todd Davis – Christiansburg, Yana (Bobby) Hunter – Snowville, Monica (Tom) Noble – Pulaski; Grandchildren – Devon, Aden, Alicia, Jimmy, Billie and Timothy; Brothers – Tim (Sherry) Cox – Snowville, Kevin (Diane) Cox – Snowville; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.1 Her married name was Poff.1 She married Dennis Lee Poff, son of David Lee Poff and Eva Joyce Epperly.1 Diane Elizabeth "Beth" Cox was born on September 22, 1953 at Radford, Virginia.1,2 She died on September 2, 2021 at Pulaski, Pulaski Co., Virginia, at age 67.1

Mrs. Thomas was born Sept. 4, 1912, in David City to Frank and Nellie (Justus) Trotter. She graduated from David City High School in 1930 and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She married Edgar V. Thomas Sept. 4, 1934, in Russell, Iowa. She lived in the David City area most of her life. She was an occupation manager for Trotters Store Inc. and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church in David City, PEO, Owls Club, Eastern Star, and a bridge club and also involved in many charity organizations. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Cheryl Thomas of Clermont, Fla; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1985; and one sister. Services were held Monday, Jan. 20, at St. Lukes United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wendell Davis officiating. Burial was at the David City Cemetery. on January 23, 2003.2
