Pettrey, 75, of Chesapeake, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Born Princeton, WV, he was the son of the late Willie Mae Presley and Paul M. Presley. Johnny retired from the Chesapeake Police Department as a Detective Sergeant, after 29 years of service. Johnny enjoyed playing cards and going to gun shows. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Linda; a son, Johnny Ray Pettrey (Sabrina); a grandson, Kevin R. Pettrey (Lauren), and a great-grandson, Reese. on January 16, 2020.¹

     Oreta Virginia Belcher was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,2 She was born on March 12, 1911 at Ingleside, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,2 As of February 5, 1962,her married name was Via.³ She married James William "Bill" Via, son of Thomas Henry Via and Victoria Jane Hearn, on February 5, 1962 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^2,3 Oreta Virginia Belcher died on October 5, 1975 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 64.^1,2 She Mrs. Oretha Saunders Via, 64, of 411 Bluefield Avenue in Princeton, died Saturday in a Princeton hospital following a short illness. She was born at Ingleside and was a daughter of the late, Charles and Margaret Day Belcher. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, J. W. (Bill) Via; three sons, Charles Saunders of Canfield, Ohio, Kyle Saunders of Salem, Ohio, and John Saunders of Westland, Mich; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Edna) Bowers of Galax, Va; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Carlisle (Margaret L.) Thorn of Princeton, Mrs. Wanda Dutton of Marion, Va; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Parker of Princeton, Mrs. Dora Lambert of Lynchburg, Va; one brother, Luther Belcher of Princeton; 15 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Burns Womal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton with Rev. Robey Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Bluefield-Princeton Road. on October 6, 1975.²

     Edward Guy Dutton was buried at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Smyth Co., Virginia.⁵ He was born on September 30, 1915 at Groseclose, Smyth Co., Virginia.^2,3,4,5 He married Mary Wanda Via, daughter of James William "Bill" Via and Mary Ella LaFon, on February 1, 1941 at Mountain City, Johnson Co., Tennessee.² Edward Guy Dutton and Mary Wanda Via were divorced on August 28, 1964 at Smyth Co., Virginia.² Edward Guy Dutton died on April 1, 1993 at Marion, Smyth Co., Virginia, at age 77.⁵

     Edward Guy "Eddie" Dutton Jr. was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 East Valley Drive, Bristol, Virginia.⁴ His Social Security Number was 226-56-0361.⁵ He was born on December 10, 1943 at Smyth Co., Virginia.^2,5 He married Patsy Jean Funk on June 7, 1963 at Marion, Smyth Co., Virginia.^3,4 Edward Guy "Eddie" Dutton Jr. died on August 18, 1985 at Bristol, Virginia, at age 41.⁴ He Edward G. "Eddie" Dutton Jr., 41, of Bristol died Sunday at his home. He was the athletic director at Virginia High School. He was a graduate of Marion High School and attended Emory & Henry College where he played basketball and baseball. He received his masters degree at Radford University. He was a former basketball coach at Patrick Henry High School for five years and a basketball coach at Patrick Henry Junior College in Monroeville, Ala., for 14 years, prior to moving to Bristol in 1964. He was a member of the State Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Patsy Funk Dutton; one son, Marc Dutton of the home; one daughter, Lori Dutton of the home; his parents, E. Guy Dutton Sr. of Marion and Wanda V. Dutton of Marion; four sisters, Carole Pickle of Fallston, Md., Nancy Croy and Patty Akers, both of Marion, Alene Odum of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the State Street United Methodist Church in Bristol with Dr. James Green and the Rev. Michael Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. on August 20, 1985.⁴
