She was born on April 6, 1924, the daughter of the late James P. and Maggie Williams Sheffey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Richardson March 1988; brothers, Hiley and Harry Sheffey; sisters, Virginia Hoback, Lois Sheffey, Norfa McAllister, Letha Richardson and Doris Collins. Ann moved to Chesapeake in the 1950s. She worked for Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, and retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Pioneer Club of C&P Telephone Company. She met Lewis after moving to Chesapeake, and they were married in July 1962. She and Lewis did a lot of traveling after they retired. Ann was a resident at Carrington Place for ten years. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Cutshaw of Loris, S.C; stepdaughter and husband, Pamela and Joe Krygiel; two step grandchildren, Rebecca and Timothy Krygiel, all of Marietta, Ga; nephew and caretakers, James and Susie Collins; nieces, Hilda and Tommy Jonas, Jewell Williams; brother-in-law, Elbert Collins. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Roger Crigger officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery. on March 16, 2013.3

She is survived by her husband Vergill William Richardson; six daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Nunn, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Mrs. Linda Lawson, Mrs. Carolyn Myers, Miss Sandra Richardson, Miss Juanita Richardson all of Pulaski; four sons, Jimmy, Charlie, Douglas, and Jerry all of Pulaski; her father, George A. Quesenberry, Pulaski; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Hudson and Mrs. Janie Hall both of Pulaski; Mrs. Margaret Clark and Mrs. Beulah Palmer both of Baltimore; seven brothers, W.E., Herman, Harry, D,W, Quesenberry all of Pulaski; J.G. Quesenberry, Newbern; Hensel Quesenberry, Roanoke, and Arnold Quesenberry, Baltimore. Funeral will be Tuesday at 3:30 pm from First Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by the Rev. Parris Woods. Burial will be in Thornspring Cemetery. The body will remain at Strickler's Funeral Home until one hour before the service. on December 21, 1964.3

Dorothy Anne Richardson Mrs. Dorothy “Dotsy” Richardson Smith passed from this earth on Jan. 27, 2018 following several years battling Parkinson’s Disease. She was a spirited woman with a strong love of life and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Dorothy was born in Pulaski, VA and moved several times over the years with her family upon finally settling in Pulaski, VA, until her final resting days at Richfield Living in Salem, VA. She is survived by daughters, Lois Ann Ashton and Debbie Jean Cole; son, William Todd Smith of Christiansburg, VA; granddaughters, Missy Cole and Alyson Smith; grandson, Jerry Taylor; sisters, Sandra Nuchols, Juanita Troupe, Bonnie Nunn and Carolyn Crostic, and brothers, Charles Richardson and Jerry Richardson. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Clinton Smith; parents, Virgil & Hazel Richardson; sister, Linda Lawson, and brothers, Jimmy Richardson and Doug Richardson. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Richfield Living, family and friends for their support over these last few years and during this difficult time.2 Her married name was Smith.2 She married William Clinton "Billy" Smith.2 Dorothy Anne Richardson and William Taft Stilwell were divorced.5 Dorothy Anne Richardson was born on June 20, 1936 at Pulaski, Pulaski Co., Virginia.3,2 As of December 26, 1951,her married name was Stilwell.5 She married William Taft Stilwell on December 26, 1951 at Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.5 Dorothy Anne Richardson died on January 27, 2018 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 81.2
