Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. on January 12, 2004.1

He served in the military during World War II in the South Pacific. Upon returning, he continued his education and received his Master's degree in education. He moved to Baltimore in the early 1950s and worked for the State of Maryland in the Penal System, where he rose to Director of Education. Upon retiring, he and his wife moved to Richmond, Virginia to be close to his step-daughter's family. His remains rest at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, followed by interment in Dale Memorial Park. on May 31, 2009.2

Mrs. Jones was born February 27, 1933 in West Virginia to Wilbert Lawson and Flossie Jackson Lawson. She worked as a dining room hostess for Wendy’s. She enjoyed her family, loved working and spending time with her customers and she loved gospel singing. Her husband Clyde C. Jones preceded her in death on December 27, 1998. She was a member of Valhermoso Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, step children and in-laws: Michael DeLoss Smith, William C. Jones, Patricia and Tim Stafford, Virginia Gay and Jody Roberts, Judy Ford, Nancy Meadows and Peggy Shannon; twenty grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde C. Jones. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday December 19, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bobby Burt, officiating. Burial will be in Fowlkes Cemetery in Monrovia Alabama with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. She is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Paul) Jones of Palmetto, Fla; two sons, Richard Hinkle of Palmetto, Fla., and Carlas (Julia) Hinkle of Garrett; 16 grandchildren, Tony (Tiffany) Hallock, Tacona Hallock, Brent Hinkle, Aydin Hinkle, Tina (Tom) Papenbrock, David (Michelle) Converset, Carlas (Amanda) Hinkle II, Nathan (Trina) Hinkle, Adrian Hinkle, Adam (Crystal) Hinkle, Rachel Stickler, Emily (Jason) Richards, Justin (Brianna) Hinkle, Caresse Myrick, Tori Converset, and Katlin Hinkle; 31 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn Johnston of New York, and Joyce (Otis) Joiner of Parrish, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Hinkle; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Badger; and a brother, Pete Geisler. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Pastor Jeff Wolheter officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. on May 22, 2014.2
