In addition to her husband and m other she is survived by one foster son, Jamie Lee Meadows, of the home; six sisters, Mrs. Betty Blickey of Roanoke, Va., Mrs. Ernestine Crawford and Mrs. Geraldine Whitt, both of Glen Lyn, Mrs. Linda Graham of Narrows, Va., Mrs. Gladys Clark of Rt. 1, Narrows and Mrs. Bonnie Morrison of Princeton; and five brothers, Scott, Randolph, Charlie and Glad Meadows, all of Glen Lyn and James Meadows of Narrows. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel in Oakvale with Rev. Paul Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. on April 4, 1981.²

He was a disabled World War II veteran having served with the U.S. Army where he received a Purple Heart, the American Campaign Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. He was of the Baptist faith and was formerly employed as a paving and driveway sealer. In addition to his parents, a half brother, Billy Nesbitt; and a half sister, Connie Hatfield preceded him in death. Survivors include two half sisters, Donna Tignor and husband Ronnie and Patricia Elliott, all of Princeton. In keeping with Jeffrey's wishes, his body has been cremated. on June 28, 2011.¹
