She was born in LaFollette, TN. She was a retired Avon lady and a shut-in crippled by rheumatoid arthritis. Nevertheless, she worked tirelessly for her church, the First Church of the Nazarene. She had spent most of her life in Bristol, TN. Her ever-cheerful, smiling face and disposition will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest James Cannon; and by her mother, Fannie Ella Hines Cannon. Survivors include three sisters, Alice Lee Cannon Trivett, Lakeside, Mont., Joann Joyce Cannon Necessary, Bristol, VA, and Ruby Virginia Cannon Qualls, Piney Flats, TN; three brothers, Earnest Jack Cannon, Bristol, TN, and Robert William Cannon and James Lewis Cannon, both of the home in Bristol, TN; and special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George H. Churchwell of First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Special music will be provided by a dear friend, Mr. Jack Thacker of Mendota, VA. The committal will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the graveside in Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel followed by burial in Shelby Hills Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Marvin Arnold, Mr. Sam Crosswhite and Mr. Wayne Lewis. on January 27, 2001.3

Robert William Cannon was buried at Shelby Hills Cemetery, 839 Bluff City Highway, Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.2 He Robert William Cannon, age 76, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1940 in Bristol, Tenn., a son of the late Earnest James and Fannie Ella Hines Cannon. Robert lived all of his life in the Bristol area and was a retired contractor specializing in masonry and carpentry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Cannon; brothers, James L. Cannon and E. “Jack” Cannon. Robert is survived by his sisters, Ruby V. Qualls and husband Bill, Alice L. Trivett and husband George, Joanne J. Necessary and husband Eddie; nieces, Karen Qualls, Joy Thacker, and Becky Thomas; nephews, Randy Qualls and Mark Branson. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Stevens officiating. The burial will be private at Shelby Hills Cemetery.2 He was born on June 25, 1940 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.2 He died on February 4, 2017 at Johnson City, Washington Co., Tennessee, at age 76.2

A resident of Lee County for most of her life, she was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Mae Young; two brothers, Ted King and Charlie King; and one sister, Thelma (Teenie) Goodwin. Surviving are one son, Darrell Hines and wife, Jeanie of Jonesville, Va; three daughters, Wanda Hines, Carol Hines, Judy Earley and husband, Ron, all of three special Jonesville, Va; grandchildren, Ryan and Mason Hines and Brennan Earley, all of Jonesville, Va; one special niece, Fern Guenther and husband, Russell of New Paris, Ohio; several other nieces and nephews; A loving church family and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Jonesville, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Jonesville, Va., with Rev. Daris Horne, Rev. Glen Hurd and Rev. L.J. Ellis officiating. Entombment will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va . Pallbearers will be Russell Guenther, Randy Shuler, Steve Sexton, Charles Ingram, Denver Poteet, Korey Guenther and grandsons, Ryan Hines and Brennan Earley. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur (Dood) Poteet, Dan Gibson, and grandson, Mason Hines. on November 5, 2008.2
