Born on March 19, 1958, at Radford, he was the son of the late Delmar Allen and Marjorie Stephenson Allen. Due to his health, Terry retired from the Maintenance Department as Supervisor of Roofer for Virginia Tech after many years of faithful service to the school. In his spare time, Terry loved to ride his motorcycle, especially riding alongside his wife, Sabrina. Terry truly enjoyed traveling, in a drop of a moment, his bags were packed and ready to go, whether it was on land or water, he never missed an opportunity to see the world. Terry was a people person and one that never liked to miss a meal; he enjoyed food and having his Dr. Pepper. He was a member of Harbor Hope Pentecostal Church in Christiansburg. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by all of his siblings: Gregory, Geoffrey, Kimberly Allen and Sally Farrier. Services to celebrate the life of Terry Allen will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church in Christiansburg with Pastor Richard Kingrea and Pastor Roger Henderson officiating. A time of gathering and sharing will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. Graveside services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Newport Cemetery at Newport. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jackson Thorn, Cody Clemson, Bobby Owens, Pete Smith, Kevin Shrader and Trent Chinault. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Hale, Roger Wimmer, Johnny Fitts, Chris Stevers, Duke Sarver, Danny Sowers and Dwight "Digger" Shelor. on November 20, 2013.2

She is rejoicing in heaven with her lifelong friend and husband, Glen W. Allen, her parents, Shuler and Masel Johnston, and two brothers, James and Clinton Johnston. Mrs. Allen was born in Trigg, graduated from Eggleston High School, then Radford College and began teaching in the Giles County School System in 1947. Her love for teaching and for her students continued her whole life. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, serving in the Choir and other church groups. She will be greatly missed by two daughters, Mary Glenn and husband, Jack McCall, of Pembroke and Joyce and husband, Larry Marion, of Pearisburg; three grandchildren, Kristi and husband, Jason Porter, David and wife, Kelley McCall, Lori and husband, Eric Shannon; great-grandchildren, Layla, Jaden, Parker, Audya, Scarlett; one sister, Alva J. Lucas, of Blacksburg; and four sisters-in-law, Carolyn Johnston, of Blacksburg, Georgia Allen, of Jonesville, Bobbi Johnston, of Roanoke and Marge Allen, of Blacksburg. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, with Dr. Brad Scott and Dr. Fred L. Austin, officiating with entombment following in the Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. before the service. The family would like to thank the staff of Kroontje Health Care Center who lovingly cared for Frances. on March 23, 2012.2

She was born in Sneedville, TN on October 14, 1928 to the late Abijah and Quinnie Sarah (Trent) Alder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Allen; daughter, Brenda Allen; sister, Wilma Lucas; and a brother, Wendell Alder. Georgia was a 1948 graduate of Jonesville High School. She worked in the Lee County Courthouse for over 40 years as a legal secretary, and she was a member of Bolling’s Chapel Methodist Church. She is survived by two brothers, Glen Alder and Abijah “Mitch” Alder Jr., both of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, VA.
