Elmore, 82, of Charleston, went to Heaven on Nov. 3, 2007. Addilene was born to Willis G. Via and Ora Lee (Wheeler) Via on Nov. 19, 1924. She lived her entire life in Kanawha County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Paul Elmore. Addilene leaves behind her daughter, Sharon (Tom) Gregory of Deltona, Fla; son, Steven P. (Darlene) Elmore of Charleston; grandchildren, Christenna (Jon) Bailey of South Charleston, and Steven R. (Jera) Elmore of Somerville, S.C. She also leaves behind two sisters, Jessie Raynes of Nitro, and Clara Ann Sigmon of California, and brothers, George Thomas Via of Virginia and Ernest Via of California. Addilene loved her Lord and lived many years serving Jesus. She was a long time member of Canaan Baptist Church, Charleston, where she loved her church family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed preparing large family meals at holiday time. She appreciated the beauty of God's creation and loved nature. She was an avid gardener most of her life and spent many summers canning nature's bounty. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, yet we know our loss is Heaven's gain. She asked that we not mourn her death, but rejoice in her victory. The family would like to give a special "thank you" to the Hospice Care Unit, who helped them through this difficult time, and suggests donations to Kanawha Hospice, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064 in Addilene's name in lieu of flowers. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Canaan Baptist Church, 1919 Bigley Ave., Charleston, with the Rev. Bill Guthrie and the Rev. James Warden officiating. Burial will follow in Wheeler-Via Cemetery, Newhouse Drive, Charleston. on November 4, 2007.3

     Otmer Gay Elmore was buried at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Osbornes Mills, Roane Co., West Virginia.2,3 He married Marie Clara Rucker.2 Otmer Gay Elmore was born on July 19, 1917 at Roane Co., West Virginia.2 He died on March 21, 1947 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 29.2,3 He ELMORE, Otmer, 29, of Clendenin, died yesterday in a local hospital. Mr. Elmore had been in employe of the duPont plant for the past 10 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie Elmore; three sons, Otmer, jr., John Edward and Donald; one daughter, Mary Margaret, all at home; his father, E. C. Elmore, Wellford; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Moore, Charleston, Mrs. Marie Schoenberger, Columbus, O; five brothers, Omar, South Charleston, Ord, Orville, Oakey and Otis, all of Wellford. Service will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Rolling Hill church at Osborne. Interment will follow in the church cemetery directed by the Hess and Harper mortuary, The body is at the residence. on March 22, 1947.3

Elmore Jr., of Charleston; daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Runyan, Mrs. Belva Jean Withrow, Mrs. Wanda June Rogers all of Charleston, Miss Glenda Sue Elmore and Miss Barbara Jo Elmore, both at home; brothers, Orville Elmore of Riverview, Fla., Otis Elmore and Okay Elmore, both of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Marie Prather of Riverview, Fla; five grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Grace Nazarene Church, South Charleston, Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. on October 24, 1975.2
